Not sure I agree with your comments. Bradley did the best he could on a bike that was consistanly 7K's slower (try standing still when someone jogs past you at 7K) and along with poor stability under braking made it less than a top 10 steed - look at his team mate.
Also with a Motogp ride in the bag why kill yourdelf trying to acheive what you already have.
I think Bradley will have a good year and get quote a few top 6 finishes even though this is his rooky year I seem to remember Cal spent quite a bit of time in the gravel in his first year learning to go fast.

Stefan Bradl posted a 2'01.89 on his first Sepang test, so Smith's 2'02.09 compares decently. I see him scrapping with the Ducatis at the beginning of the season, and then beginning to bridge the gap to the likes of Bautista, Bradl and Cal as he gains confidence and experience. I think Tech 3 will look after him very carefully and make sure he doesn't try too hard too soon.

No chance of bagging Rookie of the Year though, unfortunately.

Gotta keep pushing the boundaries of the bike, Unfortunately I believe the electronics to typically be the last 1.5-0.5 seconds to get the best out of the bike and hes not on a factory bike. So hopefully he keeps on it and stays sharp and on the bike, It will be important to be very consistent and knowledgeable about the performance potential of the tires.

I reckon thats a job well done.
As mentioned, it compares well with Bradls rookie test times.
Well done Bradders.

Also well done to MLav - i just hope the PBM chassis works as well as, if not better, the ART he rode this test.

...once again ill say it... 'ssssshhhh sssssshhhh' all you bradley bashers... 8th is good and if you look at the riders from 1st to 7th no matter who was put on that yam, they wouldn't of been beating the top 7.

Well done bradley...
