Maybe you haven't heard the mantra, "its only testing!!"
The only thing that you can take from these three days is that MM is impessive from the off but as yet an unknown quantity in a race, Smith has silenced his doubters and Rossi seems to be getting his MOJO back. Other than that, the season ahead promices to be a corker :)

You all Rossi haters, just listen... You still make fun that he is not upto to the pace of JL and Dani to seriously compete to win, remember he is not too far behind in the bike which is tuned to suit JL, slowly he is making it his own bike and will push to the limits and get ready to be kicked in a*s...

How many times you have seen your stoner or JL or Dani win races after qualifying in second row or below... But vale has more reputation than anyone else in doing that...

We don't care if he is nor the pole man neither the front row starter in this season, because on yamaha he has that race speed and consistency without mistakes and great concentration, this is what people call race craft at which he is a king... the thing that will really matter for him in qualifying is to keep himself in range to catchup the race leader... So he is not a dictating force in any of the time trails like practice, testing and qualifying but a sure nightmare for others in the all important sundays... - Unregistered

It's good to see he is happy as he might be another front contender. I must say I wasn't expecting him to be so close to the front and keeoing up with the improvements of his rivals. It seems that he still has some of his sparkle. I still think he is downhill but I can accept being wrong specially if that means more competition.
To tell the truth I was expecting a clearer stamp of domination from both Pedrosa and Lorenzo. It's good that they are not that far off in the lead.

So good to see.

Only the most bitter could slag him after reading that. He has 9 world titles and refers to the others as "just like the top guys".

This guy has ALWAYS just said whats on his mind at the time of the question, the big difference is he happens to be in general a happy, nice bloke.

I reckon thats what the CS fans have such a problem with.

He is still getting reacquainted with the M1, which has to be so much different than the Ducati. Pedro and Jlo have been on the same bikes for a long time. So it will still take some time... race wins can happen. His times can match those two with more seat time and set-up. A lot of guys here saying he won't win again, but I have to ask, would you bet your paycheck on it? I think not...

Yes I have, but as an ex-racer myself, that is a load of Bo**ocks as far as I am concerned.

I've seen guys go half a second faster than anyone else in testing, and been one of those guys in the pits saying "shite, where do we find half a second around here?

You can bet your bottom dollar, said racer who is half a second faster than anyone in testing will more than likely repeat the performance under racing. conditions. FFS Dani just shattered Lorenzo's qualifying record from last year! Give credit where credit is due.

So go ahead, repeat your mantra if it makes you feel better, sorry, I don't buy it! Oommmhhhh.....
