For the people who think Rossi is not up to the task I have been watching the sport since 1993 and believe me Rossi will be up there.

Judging on his times and the way he adapts to the bike i recon he will win the first race of the season.

We are up for a Welkom 2004 once again.

Rossi is the only rider capable of winning from the last spot. he is the only rider who does not need to be on pole or front row and his win/pole ratio speaks for itself. Many times he much slower in qualy and practice and won in from the last spot( Sepang 2010). Jorge Lorenzo knows better than everybody what Rossi is capable of, he learned from Rossi, he mastered his style. Rossi the "late Brake" god unline Dani and Casey does not need front row to win. This year is going to be very very tough for Honda boys because vale and Jorge are going for teh championship. and if Rossi wins the title this year or next, then he will be the immortal god of two-wheel, even Agostini will bow to him. Can't wait.....

Don't worry, Dani and Jorge will try hard come race day. and you too have to try hard to find something to write here after Vale showed them the door. at 34 and two horrible years(look at Dovi) he is only one tenth from Jorge speaks volumes. I bet Jorge understands what I am saying. We will see for how many years Jorge and Dani and others can compete. Only immortal gods can compete for two decades.

Last year in the first half of the season the Yamaha definitely had the edge but by the second half of the season Honda got the tyre issues sorted and inched it over the Yamaha. This season the Honda still has it so it is just as well that Stoner is not around or it would have been a one horse race. As it is with the 5 top riders being so close it should make for good exciting racing this year.

lol miracle tire lol. Only a Casey schoolboy fan can have that in his imaginations. You should very well remember how Vale toyed with Casey's mind back in 2008 and actually sent him to retirement Maybe back then at Laguna he had some advantages when he was over a second slower than Casey, or Catalunya 2009 or even Sepang 2010 with multiple fractures and from 11th spot. Give me one occasion, only one occasion that casey started from behind and won it?? Data? lol he raced against Jorge using his own data and won over him in three years. Do you know what is the difference of Legend and ordinary??? Legends don't punch others, Legends win in lower categories, Legends win more titles than others, Legends beat every rider they race against, legends win back to back title...Do you know why Honda got rid of Casey?? because they didn't want to get the Ducati disease.

Dovi and Hayden's quotes speak volumes about what VR (and Stoner for that matter) has always stated. The Ducati is ailed, and people who don't want to admit that are just being stupid for the sake of being stupid. Rossi is going to be a menace once again for sure!

Pessimistic? Barely ahead of Crutchlow on a non-works bike? Those Tech 3 bikes are damn near works bikes dude. Crutchlow had some really good runs and got two podiums on that "non-works" bike last season (and it would have been more had he not crashed out).

You can fail to admit that Rossi's performance is impressive if that makes you feel better, but the truth is that he came out the gates on fire. Nobody expected him to be within spitting range of the top guys during the first official test. NOBODY! Not even me, and I'm a Rossi fan (..and a Pedrosa fan). I may have to recant my previous prediction that it would take a few races for Rossi to be up to speed. ****, he WILL be up to speed at Qatar!

LOL seems like ducati disease start to accure when the stoney boy joining the team. back in the 2006 the bike was already a serious WC contender (capirex is leading the point)before the nasty crash at catalunya, and everybody can get a good result even in the satelte ducati team (elias, kallio)
