What do you expect from Audi, an average to good Motor Car manufacturer tight on money and dictating to Ducati, who have won 71% of World Superbike Championships, what to do. It could be a recipe for disaster in the long run. I think that the Ducati and Audi relationship is a complete mismatch. When Audi will have messed up Ducati, Fiat will pick up the pieces and put it under their subsidiary Ferrari. Hayden I am sure knows about the poliotics. I hope Audi read this and come up to the party. Not going to Austin is Audi's capitulation. If Yamaha and Honda are currently more advanced remains immaterial, Ducati should be present. Ducati sold 50 to 60 000 bikes last year BMW about 110 to 120... half of big is still big. They can afford it Audi!!!

Average to good car manufacturer? VW,AUDI,SEAT,BUGATTI,BENTLEY average what planet are some of these people on, they took a diesel & wiped the floor with the rest of the competition in sports cars, i would say a bit better than average to good, Ducati is very political, infighting is probably the single biggest reason for failure, but if the powers that be would let them have a 1200cc moto gp bike, that could help to solve the problem, I don't think Rossi was the problem the problem was there long before Rossi.

Ducati should be testing at every chance they get, even if they have nothing new to test, they should be pushing all the time to improve. the fact that they have to think about taking part in this test shows that someone calling the shots at Ducati isnt fully commented.
not good at all

Definition of insanity - doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Testing to establish a base line - your bike is the worst factory bike on the grid and has been for yesrs. That is your baseline. Unless Ducati come up with something new, why bother testing anywhere.
