@ 99 Crystal Ba

Yeah you are right, chattr...etc crashes....Compared to Dani??? Dani destroyed him on the same bike and proved he is better than Casey right from the beginning. Tell me if Casey is so good why he couldn't defend his titles??

Keep perpetuating your story of hate my friend. I've no doubt the bike and factories efforts had some baring on Stoners move but to ignore ALL the other reasons riders change teams is to put every rider in the paddock down too. Stoner moved and dominated in '11 and was hardly a slouch in his final year.
Your percentages mean nothing, try this one...
Stoner 3 wins in 2010 on the duc, Rossi 0 wins in 2011, that's an infinite percentage difference, even your calculator can't work that one out. Was it because he was too proud to stick with the carbon, who knows, but a sensible man knows they wouldn't be any worse off.

@Slide ok very simple wins on trellis 16 wins on Cf 7 a drop of 60%. Wins vs Dnfs in 2010 3 v 5. Stoner left because he knew it was ****e and Duc had no idea finger pointing is easy correctly interpreting the information is more difficult but ultimately more rewarding.

In 2007 Ducati had an advantage in many area's:

1. The Bridgestone tires were made especially to suit the bike/rider i.e. Ducati & Stoner.
2. Ducati's superior speed down the straight.
3. Casey Stoner's all balls out riding style.
4. The long development of Loris Capirossi who's experience was pivitol in that bike.

What happened, in my opinion:

1. 2008, Rossi got Bridgestones and Yamaha and Honda caught up.
2. 1 make tyre rule, everyone got the same tires so there were no special tires made to suit any bike or rider.
3. Casey just rode around problems and didn't have the exerience to develop a bike.
4. The Carbon Fibre chassis, maybe a bit too ambitious at this time in MotoGP so they dropped behind the Yamaha & Honda.
5. Ducati's struggle to bring updates/ new parts early & quick enough.

They need to start with a clean sheet of paper and get outside help and remove the pride factor (sorry tradizione). Also Gobmeier is talking to bide time, he knows there are no parts coming and that Rossi was right when he dismissed the parts they want to "examine more fully".

People are still going with the if Stoner was on it. They say he handed over a winning bike, but as RabCati showed there were a number of issues which bumped him up the list in 2010. Equally in 2010 it was 3 wins and 5 DNFs. Rossi then came onto a bike cold versus a rider who had been on it for four years. Hardly a valid comparison. Stoner would have placed 5th instead of Rossi's 6th and maybe not event that as I think his win at all costs determination (a good quality) would have meant his luck of not getting seriously injured on the Duc would have run out. He knew he wouldn't win that is why he went to Honda.

i don't think ducati are correctly making there bikes around the tires , i think they are just building bikes the old way when tires were built to suit bikes.
the ducati has a very small range in tire formats and can only work when the correct tires are on the bike.

rabcati yes well put....... theres no way caseys gong back to ducati ,even if he does return. he knows how good the jap bikes are now and how fast they develop.... casey and ducati was a one time thing that worked well for various reasons but also probably robbed casey of adding to his championship tally but i think wed all love to see ducati competative again regardless of the rider
