In hindsight it was the wrong move to ditch the carbon frame concept. Imagine the huge amounts of money spent on VR and trying to build a twin spar bike going towards developing and refining the CF frame. I bet you they would be a lot closer to the competition at this point regardless of who was riding. Whatever they do now, they will always be playing catch-up. I feel sorry of Ducati, lead astray and then ditched.

Let's all hope that the new boss is just seeing where they are today for himself, then re evaluating, then hitting the engineering dept hard to get a new bike out. OR they are working on a new bike and it is not ready and they are just using the tests to allow the riders to at least practice. If they were going to improve the bike, wouldn't they have made some changes other than paint???? No it has to be that this bike is gone.

This makes me think that there were data collection/interpretation issues. If they are running parts they had last fall why did they need more data on them? They were clearly off the pace in Valencia (what's new). So why would they not try something new here? If not on the factory bikes, then at least on the satellite bikes? It is starting to sound more and more like the new boss thinks the old boss was full of it and does not trust what was being fed to him by the outgoing administration.

Guys say put Stoner back on the bike and they will start winning. I don't think it's that simple: example Nicky is born dirt traker, so this would imply that he has a similar riding style to Stoner, and he(Nicky) has not have a great deal of success on it. Second Stoner's style is not unique, there are a handful of riders with the same style as him, but not in motogp. And wether you like it or not this series is like any other sport series where most likely they'll promote from within, meaning the lower ranks ( moto2, moto3). But yes there's no denying his success on the bike, but also there's no denying his declying success over the years with this bike, up to the point that he decided to leave. So if you look at it another way it's not Casey's or Hayden's or even Rossi's fault of their current situation, but of the Ducati and no one else. You have to know that something is not working when 98% of the riders aren't able to ride your bike.

LMAO! I love reading from all these keyboard warriors here thinking they know how to fix the Ducati and then having the audacity to blame Rossi or Stoner for its trouble. Stating that only Stoner can win on the duc is also a joke. Stoner complained about the issues with the duc for years. That is why he left duh..! They didn't fix it for him, and they didn't fix it for Rossi. Dovi and Hayden say they need a totally new bike. I believe them.

I have a question. Where is it that Stoner (or any other dependable news source that) said that Ducati offered him 16 million to ride for them?
