You can't be serious!! Casey is the reason why Ducati is this way today. The same Reason HRC asked him to leave in a respectful manner. Have you ever asked yourself why Ducati doesn't at least try new engine? why are they so stubborn?? look at Honda and Yamaha, they try every possible thing to improve the rideability of their bikes. The main problem of Ducati is Money, they don't have Honda's or Yamaha's budget, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't trynew engine. People say Rossi was wrong, did Ducati at least provide whatever he&crew asked??? they didn't provide. It is not about who can ride it, it is about what Ducati can do to make it rideable by all. Look at Ben Spies, he is no permier class material, but he was damn fast on M1 because it was a rideable machine.

People hold Casey up as some Ducati god, but in his last year, he was crashing left and right on it, and the '07 title, IMO, was in a large part to Ducati's stronger engine, right out of the gate. Ever since then, it was a downhill trend, and I wonder if Casey would have had very much more success than everyone else on it in its current state.

dovi seems very understanding right now, regarding the situation at hand, however, we shall see how long that will last.
not very long i think. maybe a couple of 10th place finishes behind a c.r.t will do it lol

It may be a good idea for Ducati to get Stoner back purely to do some testing. If anyone knows what its like to push the bike to the limit its him.As Ducati found out when he left!
They may find his input valuable. After all,he is the only rider to have regular success on the bike.
Time to get the cheque book out me thinks!

Short term fix for Ducati. Make it the best wet track bike possible, and that may just get you a few podiums this year. We can usually count on three rain races, and that is their only shot at success.

what really need to happen, Audi needs to step up and get involved...

they have the resources to spit out parts like Honda and Yamaha... when your rider says I need this, it takes Ducati 3 months where-as Honda puts it out in 3 days...

hard to compete against that!

A championship win consists of the right bike, the right rider and the right time.

in 2007 the Stoner Ducati combination was just that, they hit it just right for the 800cc format. Stoner had shown his sheer speed the year before on the LCR and that Ducati with the Bridgestone tyre was perfect, destroying the opposition.

The Ducati hasn't necessarily got worse, it's just it hasn't got that much better, and the competition has got far better in their development whilst Ducati flounder.

Would Casey be winning races on that bike now? It is an impossible question to answer, for sure his riding style is different and may suit better but would he really beat the Yam and Honda, I can't see it.

The performance difference between the Yam/Honda a the Ducati is almost unbridgeable without something drastic, perhaps only a major rule changing which effectively levels the competition will do it.

Ducati just have not developed fast enough, being too stubborn to change what they perceive to be a
