@ rod99

There is no bubble of mine that you can burts, Manager, tech director, what ever...... being cheif tech head in a team, means if a rider askes for it, the cheif mechanic makes it happen.

As forSLIDE RULES,
do your homework and read some books, its obvios that you wernt around back in the day when JB was. If there is a better man who can make a bike win (other than a riders ability) please let me know. He has been involved with more world champoins than at least i can remember.

Im not his best mate or anything, but facts are facts. every bike he has worked on over the years has been a tiltle contender, exept , unfortunatly, the ducati.

Sorry my mistake (in 2011) he was faster in in some gp's than stoner was in 10 Ana yes I know there are many variables . It's still something to think about. Why did haydens gap increase as well? He is the common denominator and he has only gotten farther from the front. Everyone keeps saying Ducati did everything jb and VR asked. They never even said an alum chassis was the fix. Never . But when ur 2 sec off its time for big changes. The development was still not even close to that of Honda. So why does everyone say Ducati did so much? 2 chassis all year? When ur 2 sec back it takes more. When Honda was .2 back they were testing MULTiPLe chassis every GP. . FACT

Why have none of you experts pointed out the fact that in 2010 Rossi's pace was very close and even faster than Casey was in a few races the year before? Just look at The race times . The Honda especially got faster and not just stoner. All 4 factory Hondas were in the top 5 during many sessions. Fact!

I wish we could finally put the whole Stoner v Rossi debate to bed. I never much liked Stoner, thinking him petulant and arrogant, but the facts are that he was/is the guy who can flat out ride a bike faster than any other human on the planet. If racing was simply a question of fasted qualifying laps, then Stoner must be considered the best ever. but it's not. racing is about speed, tactics, smart, cunning....and winning. By these criteria, Rossi is the greatest motorcycle racer ever. I also think that Marquez may end up faster than Stoner and as cunning and lethal a racer as Rossi.

jfc1, I'm referring to the ducati (in both 800 and 1000cc forms) since their takeover at the end of 2009 to the end of 2012, not just the last few months!
There are numerous first hand stories of the riders saying their bikes changed little between 800 and 1000 other than for torque effect. Rossi has said multiple times the bike he finished with was 'no different' (his words not mine) and there's no doubt he was referring to the handling not the power which we all know was more than enough anyway.
So far all we've seen is that you could throw a small blanket over Nick, Dovi and Rossi judging by their coparative performance on the duc and to fair, Dovi hasn't had much of a run yet has he?

"he only bike he (with Rossi) have had significant influence with is now further from the front than when they started."

The bike hasn't changed since last season because the entire team management has changed.

Face it! JB would know the dimensions, stats and intricacies of the M1 like the back of his hand. Applying that knowledge to another machine unless built in an identical style and material will NOT result in a clone!
I will say it again, CAD, mathematics, algorithms etc will only support the black art of chassis building to a point and Ducati would have all but hypnotised a very willing Burgess to copy that M1's characteristics.
Burgess has NEVER built a bike, his role and influence on its performance are very exaggerated! The only bike he (with Rossi) have had significant influence with is now further from the front than when they started. This statistic is fact not opinion.
Too many changes and too much effort to get away from the stigma that Stoner could win on the carbon bike. Simple.
