@Slide ok very simple wins on trellis 16 wins on Cf 7 a drop of 60%. Wins vs Dnfs in 2010 3 v 5. Stoner left because he knew it was ****e and Duc had no idea finger pointing is easy correctly interpreting the information is more difficult but ultimately more rewarding.

Keep perpetuating your story of hate my friend. I've no doubt the bike and factories efforts had some baring on Stoners move but to ignore ALL the other reasons riders change teams is to put every rider in the paddock down too. Stoner moved and dominated in '11 and was hardly a slouch in his final year.
Your percentages mean nothing, try this one...
Stoner 3 wins in 2010 on the duc, Rossi 0 wins in 2011, that's an infinite percentage difference, even your calculator can't work that one out. Was it because he was too proud to stick with the carbon, who knows, but a sensible man knows they wouldn't be any worse off.

@ 99 Crystal Ba

Yeah you are right, chattr...etc crashes....Compared to Dani??? Dani destroyed him on the same bike and proved he is better than Casey right from the beginning. Tell me if Casey is so good why he couldn't defend his titles??

@ herewego

What you, and so many others seem to forget (or conveniently cast aside) is that Casey didn't only have the 2007 title, he also had the most wins in the 800cc era... OF ANYONE! Including Rossi, Lorenzo and Pedro on (as so many people have made clear) FAR SUPERIOR BIKES. The Ducati could win, but seeing all these other top tier riders nowhere brings into light exactly how amazing it is what Stoner did on it, specially when he got very little in way of development from Duc. (Maybe that's why he "moaned"?) Either way, Ducati need to up their game in a big way.

Dani has been on the same bike for 8 years... Casey ANNIHILATED him (and everyone else) in his FIRST year on the bike. Then, unless you forgot, he had a massive crash that rendered him out of the fight last year. As for Ducati, it's a miracle it won a championship in the first place!

Just read what Gobmeier had to say following the recent test. He was surprised it is as bad as it is. Guess he wasn't paying attention during the last 6 months. He says they'll approach the problems with baby steps. know, I know, the correct approach for a classically trained engineer and best for pocketbook. But SERIOUSLY, the bike is a pig!

The way I see it,Casey Stoner wont last 5 minutes in the V8 series and will want to come back to MotoGP. Ducati will have another dire year and will plead with Stoner and offer him a fortune to ride their bike as he has been the only one able to. Whether or not Stoner can still ride the thing will be a different story and Stoner might not want to risk his glowing reputation as the only rider to ever win on the Desmo and he might also like to remain in one piece so might refuse. One way or another, Ducati will continue to fail dismally, and Stoner will be back with his tail between his legs and a load of excuses regarding his return!!
