I am more worried about the rookies and how far back they are. I guess that should be expected but let's face it, Mark Marquez came up to moto 2 and started winning almost right away after he quit dumping his bike at the first 4 races or 6 races it he was up front in the tests.

Is it that we do not have anyone of his calibre coming through the ranks now? Honda's team manager said, fast riders are fast from the get go that's why he believe Marquez will fight for the podium/win from the first race.

For me the surprise was Terol... but it is valencia and he seems to like this place so Jerez maybe a better indicator to see if that performance transfers over to some consistencies at other tracks.

I think Redding will be fine, most fans focus on that one flying lap that puts them on top of the time sheet but just like Lorenzo, who did not top the test in Sepang but scared the rest with his ultra consistent race pace (15 laps to 1 for the rest). I believe Redding led most the sessions... but was displaced by the sngle fast lappers...so he will be good. Not saying he will win the title just saying he will be more competitive.

@bikenut

Yeah that's right, ignore the fact Scott actually lead a lot of the sessions, and ignore the fact he doesn't like Valencia. Ignore the fact he was testing new parts, ignore the fact his main goal is to find areas he can loose weight. Ignore the FACT IT IS TESTING.
