"I was quite sure that after two bad seasons I hadn't forgotten how to ride. But the way to ride the bike has changed very much" - Valentino Rossi.

I'd expect to see a race sim in the next test!!! If we don't see one, I'll be a little concerned that this rebirth is a little bit smoke and mirrors.

Thats just the sceptic in me though. I'm still delighted he's going to feature more this season.

The look of the bike is confusing. Looks so much like a Chesterfield Tech 3 Yamaha 250 from Olivier Jacque... They ran the same yellow number and silver grey scheme for a while. Nakano was using a red number.

Some folk here dont seem to understand plain English. Can someone tell me the last time a satellite bike won a Motogp race?
Well,it was Marco Melandri on a Fortuna Honda at Phillip Island in 2006!
Most people on here have already written Ducati off,so
Unless something catastrophic happens,i will bet my life savings that only a factory Yamaha or Honda will win a race this year!
Thats only 4 bikes!

99cb, it's because those bikes have the only riders capable of winning! Why do you think riders like jlo, pedro, and now marquez went straight to the factory bikes and have never ridden a satellite? Here's a better question: when have the satellites had a rider capable of winning?? I can assure if you looked into that crystal ball, if jlo and Rossi swapped with crutch and smith, the factory yamahas would no longer be capable of winning.

Larry.I know the four Yamaha and Honda riders are the best on the grid!
I have not argued otherwise. The point i am making is that they have to have the top equipment to win.Put them all on Ducatis or CRTs and see how many races they win!
It is a combination of the rider and the bike. That is why i stated in my original post that Rossi should be winning races this year now that he is back on the top equipment on the grid!
Lets put it this way.If he doesnt win any races this year, what is the excuse going to be?

@ Hemmy

"It doesnt mean that Ago is better than Rossi beause he has many more titles than him."

It means exactly that! A couple of titles in thirteen years? Better than Rossi? Just a couples of titles? Puuuuurleeeeeessssss.....!

99 cb, their bikes are only slightly better than the satellites. There is not a world of difference by any means. The reason they are winning races is more due to rider talent than difference in machine spec. I agree they wouldn't win on ducatis or crts but would any of the CRT or Ducati riders win on factory Hondas or yamahas? Spies and dovi have 1 win each in 5 combined years on factory bikes. Hardly a strong argument. Hayden also had what 3 wins in time as a factory rider? It is a combo of bike/rider with the rider making more of the difference. Also you're right Rossi has no excuses this year.

Tiger Toni Elias won a moto gp race on a saturlite Gresini Honda beating Rossi at the 2006 Portsguese MotoGP at Estoril was a great race, so it can be done. Man and bike need to be as one to have a chance.

Biaggi is a good exemple that one rider Worcks when he have the condidence of the Team and he enjoy the bike, he did better on one Honda satelite im 2003 and 2004 that on the Factory Honda im 2005 in fact he was so bad at the 2005 year that he dont get a ride for 2006 and him 2007 has we know he joins Wsbk where he later find there Love Aprilia and they build the Team full on Biaggi and they get there 2 champinos.. Dovi also waste is chance on Repsol Honda he could have done better for ihimself if he had worck harder because he had the talente anyway the choice was on Pedrosa and i can t blaim Honda eveni think Pedrosa will never get one Champion to him.. anyway like i say Biaggi and 4sure we have more riders are good exemples of quallaty riders that persuit hard for what they bealive Honda is the best and when they finaly arrive on the best package they dont even get one Win..
