Biaggi is a good exemple that one rider Worcks when he have the condidence of the Team and he enjoy the bike, he did better on one Honda satelite im 2003 and 2004 that on the Factory Honda im 2005 in fact he was so bad at the 2005 year that he dont get a ride for 2006 and him 2007 has we know he joins Wsbk where he later find there Love Aprilia and they build the Team full on Biaggi and they get there 2 champinos.. Dovi also waste is chance on Repsol Honda he could have done better for ihimself if he had worck harder because he had the talente anyway the choice was on Pedrosa and i can t blaim Honda eveni think Pedrosa will never get one Champion to him.. anyway like i say Biaggi and 4sure we have more riders are good exemples of quallaty riders that persuit hard for what they bealive Honda is the best and when they finaly arrive on the best package they dont even get one Win..

Lets look at the strengths of the top two Honda and Yamaha riders.
Lorenzo - fast and consistent. Pedrosa - Very fast, but only sometimes. Marquez - Youth and speed, but impetuous. Rossi - fast, persistent, crafty.
They are all capable of lapping within tenths of each other in qually, BUT...In a race Rossi is capable of making the rider in front of him go slower. The rider in front has to take defensive lines because Rossi will pester him. Rossi will pounce on the slightest opportunity to pass, and is skilled in creating those opportunities. And once he is past them, , VR is a very hard rider to re-take.
JLo and Dani may not have the racecraft to hold VR back.

@Tetley,
That was an outstanding description of Rossi's racecraft and the reason he can win races even though he is not the fastest rider out there. He is also the master of producing competitive laps on tires that have gone away.

Tetley, you're overlooking Lorenzo's sheer consistency. When he doesn't win a race, he finishes second. After his rookie year, he finished less than 4th while finishing a race only once. He has 5 years straight on the Yamaha and is at the top of his game. Rossi for sure has the ability to do everything you said, but will have to bring it every single race and be pretty much error free to finish higher in the standings than Lorenzo. A feat I'm just not sure is capable of especially if you throw Marquez and pedrosa in the mix. I'm sure he will win a few races but consistency throughout the season wins championships.

Actually, I'm not overlooking JLo. He is certainly consistent when lapping on his own, but we rarely see him elbow-to-elbow with a rival. When VR46 gets on his tail JLo will slow and his consistency will be interrupted. Also, with the calibre of rider in the top four they will all have to be error-free, or they will be also-rans.
@TedG. I have vivid memories of Biaggi leading, with Rossi nibbling at his backside, and Biaggi going off/falling off because he couldn't withstand the pressure of not knowing which side or when VR would make his overtake. I'm sure you remember those races, too.

I would like to comment on the Toni Elias 2006 race as i was in the pits at PI with some friends of Malandries when Toni was told he was finished for 2007 and as it is with Toni he comes out and does a blinder contract renewed and as with Toni he is never seen again.

@Tetley,
I remember them vividly, I also remember him dropping back and following for a while just to rattle nerves and make a race of it instead of just running away.
