Well gang it looks like I may have blundered, when i said that " Max sees the world through all seeing eyes' Max saw the similarities between David Copperfield and Valentino Rossi (everybody thinks Max is referring to Copperfield as a Magician". In fact David Copperfield is an Illusionist.
What about Valentino Rossi, being compared to the late Freddie Mercury? Freddie did a pretty good cover of the Platters 1955 hit record THE GREAT PRETENDER...Max might need his vision checked. Even the lyrics are appropriate, check them out.

Sorry, that should say...
"it is preposterous to believe Stoners input WASN'T far more significant than ANY other riders before or since."
I can't make it simpler than that and I believe my original comment was no more confusing. There are very few points to the statement but each is backed up with reasonable explanation, if you don't agree, try opening your other eye.

Realist, stand by your name and get real. If you want to argue ANY points I've made, that's fine but you're going on about something that was never said.
The fact is Ducati built the panigale using data gathered from their carbon mono motoGP bike using input gathered from their riders. As one of the very few riders that will push the envelope at every opportunity, it is preposterous to believe Stoners input was far more significant than ANY other riders before or since.

We're not taking issue with a manufacturer using data for a revolutionary change, but you made a statement that suggested Stoner was responsible for the monocoque, and he wasn't. The trellis was being phased out due to inconsistency. It would have happened with or without Stoner.

Of course he didn't design the mono frame but to think duc produced the new road bike without input from the carbon mono bike, then you're dreaming.
Likewise, if Stoner wasn't able to achieve multiple wins/poles/fastest laps, do you think they would have bothered? Maybe you think they should have used Haydens/Melandris/Capirossi's developmental genius?
As it was the release of the bike was delayed because of the poor performance of Rossi over the last two years!
So Yeah, Stoner 'derived' is certainly a quantifiable comment.
Talk about semantics, Crikey!

Now you're back-pedaling and playing the semantics game. "Stoner derived" and "Stoner designed" mean just about the same thing in way that you implied in your statement.
