"We just need to wait until I'm stronger, come back and twist the throttle, then see what needs to be changed" - Ben Spies.

Good luck Spies.

LOL @the digs at Rossi and Co.

I think Spies pretty much summed it up.

Lets hope that the new riders can help Ducati get back to where they were before Rossi joined.

Hopefully Ducati will listen to all 4 riders this year, not just 1 that ironically led them the wrong way.

How did he lead them the wrong way? Nicky has publically thanked Vale for ditching the carbon fibre and getting a twin spar aluminium frame. Now at least they have a chance to refine it and compete with the Japanese.

@ Greg 45 - Why the barbed comment about Rossi? Yawn

It's clear, as Rossi said, there was no progress with the Ducati in two years. The bike does not respond to set up changes.

Basically, as indicated in the recent tests, the Ducati need to do something radical to compete as both Honda & Yamaha have moved the goal posts even further away. I wish all the Ducati riders luck, god knows they'll need it!

Stoner said that frame was not the problem. He had problem with front (forks) and his team fix that, remember second half of 2010 season, Aragon, Motegi PI - 3 wins.

Nick, sorry if you took my comments as a dig at Rossi, but it was not meant that way.

Of course its not all Rossi's fault. Rossi had a job to do, and along with the lack of posative development from Ducati, unfortunatly didnt manage to pull it off.

Spies openly states that they have been going in the wrong direction and its taken two years for them to see that.

They need to do what Spies suggests and work on getting 100% out of what they have before making so many changes.

Ducati/Rossi/JB tried to work too fast with too many changes instead of giving 100% in my opinion. Rossi has also openly admitted to not giving it 100%, but that, along with the willingness of Ducati (and buckets of money) is the only way to make real progress.
