"We were able to improve the traction a bit, but we lost the good balance of the M1. So we paid a high price" – Valentino Rossi.

I think it's early days for Rossi, but he has not set good times yet and as many have said, Lorenzo's race pace is scary fast. As it stands it's a 2 horse race, maybe.

"Don't worry about the times, it's just testing, things will be different in the races". I remember hearing that at pre-season testing for the last two years from the Rossi fans

@ Ph3nom
I think we both see the same to an extent. Rossi is off the leaders pace in one flying lap but that is the same with everyone else. Lorenzo is tying up all the ends. However Rossi is right there with Pedro and MM and in the last test he was right there with Lorenzo and MM but it is Lorenzo that has done the most damage in testing with his ridiculously consitent fast pace on long runs. All these riders would trade 1 fast lap for consistent fast race pace.
Again this is only testing and come race day Rossi will do what Rossi does. The question is will it be enough to match pre-season favorite Lorenzo and Pedro. TBH although Pedro looks good, I think Rossi could still overcome him at season end but some good battles with MM is in the pipeline.

Nothing scary 0.7 ,they are now doing possibles to make the bike suit Valentino.Let him test and put it as he likes then we will see some improvements.
As some below said rossi as never nothing speciall on tests/qualifiyng , but on racing hes a beast! Hopefully this is tomorrow.
Lorenzo on a "nasa bike" ? Heheh
Gotta love Marquez , his riding style is impressive. Turning seems hes gonna fall lol, like Pedrosa said he hangs off the bike alot. Anyway looking forward to see results of tests tomorrow !

like Bradl, Marc does hang a bit too much off the bike. IMO.

& this is not Rossi's 2010 bike, this is a Jorg'aha. Rossi has not proved himself over race distance on this very much different bike, just like Ben Spies he is in for a rude awakening about how much more this bike favors Jorge's fast corner entry, weak on the brakes attack. Spies had very little support and got Melandried by the bike, Rossi will have a lot more support, but dont expect him to do any better than 3rd for most of the season.

Maybe he can pull out a 2011/2010 bike and put the 1000cc motor in it. lolz.
