"This is the reality. The first three guys are very fast - Lorenzo and Pedrosa, but also Marquez - and it looks like we need to improve" - Valentino Rossi.

@ Bluefan, alias Truefan.
The year is 2013 and this site is about testing for the riders competing in that championship.
Your man is not part of that anymore because he chose to Quit.
Tetley did not mention him, so you need to get over it, or find another sport to follow. Your living in the past that revolved (for you) around a rider that did nothing to promote the sport, and on departing, slagged off at everyone and everything about it. He will not be missed by many. Qualifying for a sport he has now gone to this w/end. See how long he lasts and how many people he can whinge and slag of at, before he leaves.

Too right getoverit, CS start to V8's over on the home page listing attracted 13 posts since yesterday for a good start I might add.

No one cares about CS (except slide) and has been exposed as the "excuse" for haters to slag & mouth for the past 2 years.

Profx, in Rossis absence, why wouldn't you expect them to build a bike around Lorenzo? Should they have built it around spies instead? They didn't know Rossi was coming back after 2 quick years at Ducati. It may not be an ideal bike for anyone but jlo, but then again he was their best shot to win the title and I guess it paid off for Yamaha.

Ha. The new fantasy, Yamaha has built a bike around Lorenzo. Garbage. They've built a bike consistent with most Yam race bikes since the 1970s...slightly less powerful than Honda, but easier to ride. Ducati was difficult to ride going right back to the first 990. Yamaha always handles, and rewards smooth riding.

Lorenzo has developed his riding style to suit the bike. I can't believe how many comments already "explain" - i.e. make excuses for - Rossi's inability to show his GOATish dominance. It's only testing, and we won't know for sure until the races start. Will Yamaha will give Rossi his teammate's data like Ducati did? "The great bike developer" seems to have lost the art of setting up his race bike. They should have given Crutchlow that ride.

@ Truefan.
So that's your objective now moaners gone. Do nothing but discredit and slag Rossi. You may even be related to Stacey, that's all he could do.
Rossi has the ambition to win again, and contrary to what Moaner said, he definitely has the ability.

@Back again My objective is to enjoy the racing, and hopefully see Ducati recover from the disaster of the last two years. I just find it entertaining that Rossi bigots get so excited by lacklustre results.

@Dave you've dragged out so many irrelevant statistics in the past, I thought I'd point out the obvious - for your benefit.

Personally, I wish Rossi good fortune, and I find his current candour about his position wrt his rivals refreshing. It's preferable to the "charisma" laden arrogance he's displayed in the past. His more bigotted fans should follow his lead and take the yellow tinted beer goggles off when they assess his performance. The difference between Rossi's actual performance, all things considered, and his more blind followers' assessments, is often stark. The same punters are usually dismissive of other riders efforts. It quickly becomes tedious, and invites challenge. That's what forums are for.

Marquez and Rossi followed each other and had fun.
I would add that there was no, arm waving, no tantrums....but that would be stirring it, so I won't.

Crash...please keep V8 car news away from the bike section..
