"This is the reality. The first three guys are very fast - Lorenzo and Pedrosa, but also Marquez - and it looks like we need to improve" - Valentino Rossi.

He will get there! But he is not as young as he used to be! I hope for the next 2 years he can challenge for podiums and race wins! and if possible one more world championship! then I will be happy! :)

Valentino Rossi is now facing reality.
His final years in MotoGP are coming. He is not getting any younger and now coming to realise that MotoGP is now only for the young. Yes he will ride his heart out in 2013 but will only finish 3rd or 4th in many of the races and maybe will be lucky enough to win at 1 race in 2013. I would not be surprised if Valentino Rossi will retire at the end of 2013 and will not contest any further races in 2014. He may stay on as an ambassador for Yamaha and MotoGP for many years to come. But please Vale prove me wrong and win the 2013 World MotoGP Championships because it will be very close this year. Pedrosa winning races Marquez winning races Lorenzo winning races and Vale winning races and it will only a few points separating the 4 top riders.
Go Vale!!!. Good Luck in 2013 and Win!!!!

I think we should not complain with yamaha at least for now.. I think is like Rossi had say if the problems showup now is not a big problem, for race is when we required the bike 100%.. and 4sure i dont bealive on Yamaha only focus on one bike, i think Ben spies had a lot of bad luck and have a few problems that made him have is worst sesson... When Lorenzo was the 2 rider for Yamaha it all run smooth and no problems for the 2 bike!! Yamaha has a super Team here they will not waste this chance of grab the constructers champion that have been missing only because of the performance of the 2 rider.. They can be more competitive aginst Honda and now is there chance again.. Lets hope for a good worck and good improvements to beat Honda bike performance

Judging by the times, its going to be a good year.
One thing we havent really seen in the Stoner / Pedro / JLo era is dicing, if Rossi can keep close enough to make Dani and George ride defensively, then that 0.?? a lap makes no differnce if you cant sew consistant laps together. Both JLo and Dani rely on making an early break to win races, If Vale and MM can stay close enough for last lap scraps then I think some people are going to be suprised.

That is definitely the face of a racer that retired LONG ago.

Is he better than the rest? HELL YES!

Can he beat Marquez, Lorenzo and THE ALL NEW Pedrosa? In some races YES. At the end of year NO.

Sometimes LUCK will shine on him when the others face mechanical problems and other glitches but this year is going to be the most evident proof that you don't f*ck with youth specially when they're beyond your level.

Guys, Vale is too experienced to be proven otherwise. He is too wise ans knows his job.He never fought for qualifying results but beat most of them. Its fair forums to watch this guy still and at the helm of affairs.

Have patience till he hits back on the track!!

Ok so right now the general excuse is sandbagging, faulty machinery, will it be the same if 4 races go by and still no win? I think capirossi is finally starting to realize he's actually going to have to put in 100% AND have a perfect race for even a CHANCE to win this year. This is just testing but I stick to my claim that he won't be winning another championship again.
