oh geez, are you really that lost...

the ducati "L" is 90 degree, the honda "V" is 65. the "long throw" of the L, aka the 90 degrees creates more disproportionate pulses because of the vibrations from the 90 moving pistons. the 65 degree creates less vibration (the I4s require a counterbalance shaft) because of the angle of the"V"

look, this isn't new, this is what everybody has been saying as soon as the twin spar frame didn't solve the understeer problem.

if you're not gonna keep up the details, don't post, it just makes you look ignorant.

Mr "you gotta be kidding me"
You couldn't be more wrong about the engine v-angle and their inherent vibration issues.
And although nothing is official, the honda engine is reported to be within 10deg of 90.
Maybe you're thinking of the nsr500 2 stroke which was produced anywhere from 60deg to a little over 110deg?

Rossi had overnight specials all of his career prior to 2009 so why would you single out ducati/stoner when he wasn't even the team no.1 and capirossi couldn't even keep sight of him or match ANY area of performance on the same bike? Remember Loris was a championship favorite in the first half of 2006!
DORNA asolutely moved bridgestone development to yamaha and away from ducati in 2008 after Rossi's threats, common knowledge my friend.
Couldn't compete on a level playing field so he influenced a rule change, you can read it anywhere."

Rossi also rigged the USA elections and stopped man landing on Mars until he did it first. It's fact. Sorry, forgot the important bit... IT'S FACT!

Overnight specials? Gotta love these Rossi haters! ALL the top Michelin riders had them at the time in Europe... Biaggi, Gibernau...
But the haters keep churning out the same old lies cos The Doctor IS IN THEIR HEADS and always will be!

Mr. Laughable, can you point me to anything that indicates the riders you've mentioned received the overnight specials?
As far as I remember, a couple of them had the last minute option of the tyres that Rossi rejected on race day, nothing more, same as the Doohan days.
Anyway, the point is all bridestone riders had the same option as Stoner in 2007, quite different to the Michelin scenario and quite diffrent to the way yourself and David remember it.

Slide, no use posting here, we are all idiots spouting hate based on nothing but opinion.

Someone of your credibility and well respected, rational, factually based comments shouldnt lower themselves to responding to our tripe.

I'll dumb down my original post....

Ducat have never been a good bike, but through tire advantage and then CS, they manged excellent results full stop.

To blame everyone & everything BUT Perozzi for the current state of ducati GP is to say Perozzi has nothing to do with ducati gp.

Not saying all Perozzi fault but he is a big contributing factor.

Of course he must shoulder some of the responsibility!
But can you tell me that it is called 'blame' when referred to failure and 'praise' or even 'genius' when referring to success?
The ducati gp effort has been an undeniably huge success from day 1, a lean year was 3 wins etc againt the japanese might until they relied on rossi to reclose a relatively small gap. Stupid move to throw out the baby with the bathwater and that's exactly what they did!
VR and JB's influence was considerably larger than most care to admit and I've no doubt they are further behind as a consequence.
Prezi was very much an unwilling participant in the wholesale changes and doesn't deserve the flak they caused.
