Rossi and marc enjoy riding flat out against each other and making passes... For last two years all those satellite and crt riders had got a dream chance to ride along side rossi for full race time,, making passes, overtaking the best in the business were only a dream for those guys, but thanks to ducati for making this happen

Codger,

I think for ll the praise Vale has earned, he's also earned some criticism. He has had failures, though many work tirelessly to make more excuses than he has himself. I also think he used hs influence to disadvantage other riders which I would think most anyone wth the political clout to do so also would.

I think this could have been the biggest gift he gave to MotoGP. He made the younger generation work harder with the goal of taking down the king. This made the cream rise to the top and gave us talents like Jorge and Casey. They studied the master and pushed boundaries that Rossi himself says he will have to work very hard to equal. Due to his longevity there is a new generation, Marquez, that replaces agreat rider that decided to hang up his leathers. Watching the old king and the kid that would be king push to catch the new normal in pure speed should be interesting.

Disclaimer. This is my opinion of course and was formulated without any Love or Hate for any man making his living in a helmet and leather suit. They were formed by evaluating on track performances legally viewed from a comfortable chair with two arms while 6 bikes sat barely used in my garage

@billace:
Good post with what IMHO is an honest opinion.
I do take exception to 6 bikes going unused in your garage. Shame on you.
I have 5, 3 I ride all the time, a C14 sport tourer that I try to ride every weekend (weather permitting), a ZX10 in the warm months, and a street tracker(one of my old flat trackers made street legal) that I ride in town and to bike nights.
