MotoGP » Laverty: We've made people take notice

'A lot of people in the MotoGP paddock seemed to be surprised by our pace which is nice in some ways but also insulting in others - it's as though they didn't realise the level of the front guys in BSB' - Michael Laverty.

I would say that the fact that the little "garageproject" that is the homebuild PBM chassie was the surprising bit for me. The fact that Laverty knows how to flick a bike round a track was pretty obvious already.

But still, 1.6 seconds after the leading CRT is miles away from being competetive. But it was a positive, and surprisingly good (there, I said it), shakedown for the PBM bike...

I have to give it to Laverty. I was among those to think he is only another grid filler, but he seems to have the pace (in CRT anyways). I dont like CRT in consept (inside MotoGP) but it would be fun to watch DePunie, Espargaro, Laverty and Edwards battle for numero uno position on CRT. Last year there wasnt really racing amongst the CRT because the differences in speed were too high, but this season the pack seems to be little tighter.

Of all the CRTs, that resembles a prototype the most. I like how they went to the 4 to 2 exhaust like the prototypes with a different RAMAIR induction and front fascia.

lmao... considering they get no tv coverage at all... and this year all the TV coverage n press will be Rossi n Marquez.

but it would be great to see, is to add some split screen covarage, fkn hate it when they cut to teams right after the checker flag insted of showing us the battle behind.
