Rossi has the talent to be able to make the switch but it's understandable that he may feel his age would limit his competitiveness if he went to F1. Plus as he finishes his contract with Yamaha he'll be two years older. It would be interesting if he did try it for a year or two after retires from MotoGP. But agree with others his interest in WRC may lead him there as well.

If he ever goes 4 wheel it would be WRC, he does Monza every year, and is quite competitive, he has big a wrc fan base, good sponsors that outfit him with the best car, team n equipment. if/when after he retires motogp, I'm think that's where he will go... he loves the sport, and loves to race youtube rossi/monza.

@ slow n low

He has sponsorship (and lots of it), a WRC fan base AND success in rallying. You're silly if you don't think he could find a competitive ride in WRC IF he desired it.

If he could "show & prove", it's all business....ya know? The current top guns aren't necessarily incumbents. If somebody like Rossi comes into WRC full-time and proves his mettle, it could very threaten the seat of somebody currently on a factory squad.

@Dacs,

Rossis stats in F1 testing v stoners in second tier V8,s...no comparison really.

Not long before stoner realises the true meaning of his of the cuff "ambition outweighing your talent" comment.

What you put out there generally comes back to you (eg JB's "fix it in 80 seconds").

wow Ducati really has killed Rossi, he would never has spoken like this before, he doubts himself all the time and the tests have shown he's lost his edge.

He has to build up his mental state this season or he is done for, it would be such a sorry end.
