MotoGP » Suzi Perry: Rossi can win, 'stick two fingers up' at the critics

"I think we could see Rossi back on the top step of the podium. That would be great, because so many people in the sport have written him off. I want him to stick two fingers up at those people!" - Suzy Perry.

Is there anybody who seriously think Rossi will not win at least one race? He's a world champion, maybe won't be as fast as Lorenzo and Pedrosa all season long, but I don't see a reason why any person would write him off. There's 18 races, he has a huge chance to win some of those.

She is spot on, especially about Valentino being the one who propped up the sport for many a year. There was no lack of competition in those years for him but he is that character who has built the class and carried it almost but not quite, single handed.

Anything can happen in a championship. Hayden was champion in 2006 and only won 2 races. Of course Rossi can do something special. I wouldn't bet my life on it, and it would be his toughest challenge ever, but only haters doubt him. Journo's jumped on the bad wagon as a "fall from grace" story makes good reading.

JL and DP are absolute favourites but all Rossi can do is aim for as many podiums as possible, take the odd win when it comes his way, and hope for a bit of luck

Suzi, theres no one in the world sayin he cant win. Occasionally.
Hes in the best team on the best factory bike. He would have to be as slow as me not to win.

Like it or not for most people Rossi is Moto GP he is easily the best rider of the modern era his stats prove it, his world championship tally proves it. He's back on a bike he likes so who can say what he can't do. No one gave Mike Hailwood any chance of winning on a bike again when he returned after a 10 year lay off and look what happend there. Write of a wiley experianced rider at your peril. Best wishes to him for 2013.
