"The changes present on that all-black machine didn't seem to help the mid-corner characteristics".
Really?so what's new?still a long long way to go.
Watch out ducati de puniet and espargaro are on your back with the ART,lot of chance to see the duc overtaken by CRT machines!

I'd say its harder to win a championship after 4 years than it is to defend one. That's something Rossi has never done, his biggest gap was 3 years but he has defended every one of his championships except the last one and the one in 05. Just means the talent pool has remained largely unchanged throughout the early/mid 2000's and it was relatively easy for him. I get that stoner was on the best bike in 2011, but Pedro was with Honda for 5 straight years and stoner just hopped on and dominated with his previous Honda exp going all the way back to 06.

In all fairness, kudos to Rossi for going his entire career and not ever having a 4 year gap without a championship to his name.. But i think that will start this year. With jlo in his prime and Marquez now here Rossis reign has officially ended. He's a bit over the hill but hey no one can be the greatest forever.

Here's a suggestion to make this comments section more interesting: try writing all your comments without using the words "Rossi", "Stoner" or "Ducati". Post with the most likes wins. Good luck.

When Stoner won his Motogp championship on The Duc it was by far the best bike out there,

You could change the words Stoner to Rossi and The Duc to Honda or Yamaha and that opinion would still be True.
Stoners 07 Bike had the best Tires yes...Best Bike -deffinatly not.
Im more interested on how Close the Suzuki will be to Honda and Yamaha,if the New GSVR/GSXR1000 drops times as fast or faster then the GP13 Ducati better re think the entire bike.

Lol Freddy who someone said to an earlier comment! Heads up Freddy was the last champion to do the double. That by todays standards is a Moto 2 and a Moto GP champion all in the same season, and he was up against the likes of Sheene and King Kenny Roberts. Freddy was a true champion make no mistake

Stoner V Rossi talk rather than Ducati talk. Hope the Ducati gets sorted as we need all the bikes competitive for the sake of the sport..... However for the Stoner fans he ain't here anymore but Rossi is.... now what does that tell you... a true motorcycle racer perhaps not a quitter!!!!!!!

I just can believe what I'm reading. The Ducatis have not improved, everyone else was a little slower then the last test, and this will show at the next test. Not bashing the riders, but Ducati just needs awhole new approach, not just a new frame. They've changed everything, but the engine, and guess what they still have the same problems. And yes Stoner was a really good rider, but even his biggest fan can't argue that he wasn't going to win another wolrd title on that bike, he could've had the occasional win here and there, but that's about it, and that was exactly what he was doing on his last seasons there.
