Steve, spot on! Valentino Rossi is a true racer!! It is race day that matters and the skill, ability and tactics Valentino has make all the difference. Valentino loves to battle and his fantastic stalking technique is pure joy to watch! I suspect that most of the people here have never seen races where Valentino has pulled off unbelievable moves, done things nobody thought possible, astounded not just the fans but also most riders alive today!! Valentino Rossi is one of the best riders ever and if these people who say anything different just took some time and saw just what he is capable of, then they would surely agree!!

I agree herewego. It all just makes me more excited for start of season! I was at Donington, Uk, years ago when Rossi went from 11th or something on the grid and passed 1 rider each lap to take lead and win on 500's. Brilliant. There's been little RACING past 2 seasons. More like, lets collect points for championship. This season promises sooo much. Can't wait!!! Hope he's still got it,Lorenzo is soo strong and Marq will be challenging for race wins from the beginning the more I see of him.

re: "Seven time champion Rossi warned that the RCV riders look to have the advantage in several areas, especially acceleration - which will further increase pressure on Yamaha to join Honda and Ducati in producing a seamless shift gearbox"

omg, who just said this at the start of the test...? oh that's right it was s1. lol

i heard the same optimism two years ago when Mr. Rossi had his first official test with Ducati gone wrong, it just a test. the first race would be much better....well, it was proven to be wrong for the whole two years!

remember the old days? biaggi was bullied by rossi at the exact age rossi's now. well, biaggi can still put his head up and retired as the best

I love it! There are new excuses for Capirossi every day! Now the latest might be my favorite: it will take him a while to change his riding style after 2 years on Ducati! It's as if he didn't ride with Yamaha at for the 7 years prior! since 2010 the bikes changed I know but come on.. For all his years in go, he should have been fully acclimated by the conclusion of the sepang test. Let me predict the excuses when he doesn't win any of the first few races: the Honda is too good or he would win if they had the seamless gearbox or he is still not used to being on a bike capable of winning hahah capirossi is way over the hill gents he might win a few races never again will he finish the season 1st.

For all the haters and fans calm down it's only a test and while 1 second down isn't great it's not awful either as it's a new circuit. Lets see how he and others do in the first few races before pointing any fingers. Remember it's a test not a race. Cheezzzzzz!
