Even as a huge fan, I don't think Rossi will quite have the pace all season to mount a real title challenge against Pedro and J-Lo, both of whom are now firmly ensconced in their respective teams, and have shown they can develop a bike effectively. I do, however, see him winning a couple of races considering how close he is at the moment. Fingers crossed.

No matter where he finishes, I'm always going to be glad I had the pleasure of witnessing his career. Rossi, SuperSic, Bayliss, Duhamel, Mladin, Spies, Edwards, EBoz & Nicky will always be my favorites! Favorite Race Ever: Bayliss vs. Edwards @ Imola=Classic!

I agree Sasha "I am not very good under brakes" rings alarm bells for where Rossi is concerned as this was always one of his strengths also maybe I am paranoid and maybe it is simply hours on the bike but I am not feeling that confident about the bike he is getting.

I don't think the Yamaha has developed much at all since Valentino left it in 2010! Jorge Lorenzo has even said himself he still uses Valentino's data and has done so over the last 2 years. Honda seem to be the ones that have upped the ante big style, leaving the rest behind. Lorenzo is not big on development, he never even seems to actually say what any problems are or how they can be resolved so maybe now Valentino is back something will start to move in the Yamaha garage and their bike will be back at the top where it used to be! Please, do not start with all the Rossi/Ducati tripe as that bike is a law to itself and there is no light at all on that horizon no matter what they try. Poor Dovizioso is looking older by the day and has a real doom and gloom expression etched permanently on his face!

Valentino says he is no good under "hard" breaking!! Valentino has a unique breaking style which is completely different to most other riders. It is an area where he excells and is quite brilliant at so he is obviously having problems with his usual technique until the problems he is suffering from are sorted out.

@Grendlehop
I dont get it, how you can compare Bayliss, Edwards or Nicky with Rossi

They never started mind games, they fight hard to become good bike and didnt get it (in motogp)...

Sounds like he's whingeing about he bike. Reading the comments here, if Rossi doesn't do very well this season it will be all Yamaha and Jorge's fault. But if he does do well then it'll be all down to his genius

So it is still riding around with the 800cc engine you think? Or did the 1000cc engine fit with ease in the 2010/2011 frame. The 2013 bike actually does have a new frame concept. Check a gpone article by Alberto Cani for that.
