poor dani,one of his main rivals joins the team and wins title at first attemt on the same bike.
this spurs dani on and he beats team mate the following year by upping his game and riding as good as he ever has.
team mate leaves,in theory only leaving one real title rival as although his new team mate is fast,he is a rookie and unlikey to be as quick as him in his first season,but it seems new team mate has other ideas.

I'd be very happy to see Dani win a title at some point. He's already written himself into the history books. Racking up 22 wins & 71 podiums during the Rossi/Stoner/Lorenzo era is a very distinguished achievement indeed!

Marquez is a quick study for sure. Dani & Jorge are the likely favs for the title, but Vale & Marc will def be all over them should a mistake be made. Vale will hopefully be closer to the others at some familiar tracks, apart from Sepang, where more data comparisons to the old M1 can be made. Dani, Jorge & Vale are proven rain riders, where Marc will most likely see his learning curve steepen a bit. All this waiting is getting unbearable!! Let's all just hope/pray for an injury free season with few runaways!!

@Grendle
Good comments. Nice to see someone on these forums with a balanced point of view. Like you, I am looking forward to a very competitive season. I have my prefered rider but mostly I just love to see elbow to elbow racing. Hopefully this season will supply it.

@ Banditfan, Thanks!
I've turned over a new leaf this year, trying to be open minded. All the hatred flung around over the years has worn on me & kept me away for long periods of time. It's nice to be objective, but in a respectful way. Showing too much love unfortunately brings others down on you @ times. I do have my favorite rider(s), but I'd rather see them have close battles & lose honorably, than to have processions.
