Write Valentino back on a Yamaha off at your peril!! Remember, it is this man who put that bike where it is now - nobody knows it better than he does!! Race pace is where it counts, not open tracks where speed is the only thing that is on the agenda!

herewego... i was under the impression that jlo put the bike where it is now , also that no one is matching jlo's race pace simulations and there is others between jlo and vale in that department as well.

Given the number of ultra- competitive riders this year I suspect that it will be consistency with a dash of good luck that will win the title rather than outright pace. Tactical riding will be called for. If this is the case then Rossi must be in with as good a chance as anyone given his experience.

the next motogp champ will be spanish - and there is no doubt, that it even could be marcy marquez, if he doesn´t prove to be the wild one - compared to rolling stoner in his early motogp-starts. I´m a yamaha fan and I´ve always been a great fan of vr. But I saw m marquez 3 times live last year, how fascinating was that finale in valencia - he´s going to mix up the establishment and if he´s reaching an early podium in the first 3 races without a zero-round he´ll be a strong title contender. Nice that Pol is joining yamaha next year, he´s a strong guy, too. I don´t think vr is strong enough to fight for another title against the young guns, but if he does, I would be very very happy. But it´ll be a long season and if there are many wet-races, there is a real chance for him - and another OUTSIDERS like ? yamaha or honda rider!

Herewego,i think you are doing Lorenzo an injustice there mate.He has worked his ass off on that bike for the last 2 years without any assistance or input from Rossi.
And he is the reigning World Champion because of that hard work.
Credit where credit is due.

What a great photo of Rossi and Lorenzo!

I think this year is going to be great! Not sure if Rossi will win the title but it would be worthy of a $100 bet!! You never know with Rossi!
6 riders fighting for the podium! bring it on!!!
