Stoner won every year he was on the ducati. Rossi topped one practice session with variable weather, don't get your hopes up, he is still washed up.

The only diversion I intended was for people to look past all of the jibber jabber about who "was" better on whatever bike they were riding over the last few years and just look at the times from this test vs the times from the previous couple of tests (with Ducati not going to Texas to test). Ducati, and in particular AD has made serious progress to bridge the gap. The real things to look at are this years time on thise year's bikes with this year's engineering crews, everything else is history and doesn't matter.

................... and Rossi has shown us that at 34 he still has no need to retire himself on performance alone. Bring on 2013 season I say and hopefully there'll be a third manufacturer becoming competitive because only 2 competitive bike types is a farce. I can't wait to see Suzuki test later in the season too.

"Made hay while the sun shone" words perfectly chosen to describe stoner's fortune,,, winning on that duc didn't need any special talent because with that special talent why the hell did stoner's number of wins on duc slipped down in steps every year after 2007 ? Then winning 9 titles also did needs a special talent(long range consistent and passion) that no one else in the sports seem to have except vale...

Where are all those Rossi hating little bitches at now! C'mon boys you can still tell us how much better a rider Casey Stoner was before he went fishing. He did win a championship on the Ducati after all.

Don't bet your luck. The Ducati hasn't made any "real" progress. It was wet, so the Ducati went better as usual. The Ducati isn't better than Marquez's or Bradl's Hondas.

Good showing by Rossi. Keep it up! Where are the haters hiding?
