"Like every year you feel a little nervous at the beginning, it's so important to start in a good way and get some points!" - Jorge Lorenzo.

@LCTanner It sounds like Rossi might just be in your head.

Lorenzo is worried about the Hondas, and particularly Pedrosa. His race pace is where it needs to be. It is brutally consistent, and impecably fast. Rossi is still having set up problems, and although he's getting some fast laps now, he's not getting into a rhythm anything like Lorenzo's.

If you read Rossi's comments, he's already said that another championship is a "dream". He doesn't really believe it. He wants it, but he knows he's up against quality opposition, without his past advantages. He should win some races, but the championship remains a long shot for him. But good luck with the yellow goggles!

After all the pre-season testing Lorenzo seems better prepared than any other rider for the first race. Nervous is pretty normal before a race because there is always some luck involved but Jorge has done everything possible as a rider to achieve victory in Qatar.

@James Warren...
interesting you say that, it's called the herd mentality James. I'm surprised we didn't get all the stats from years gone by, or how he was better than Stoner at Ducati, or how he is going to be the champ again this year because he has a Jap bike... and on and on it goes old mate. And fair dinkum, some of the rubbish they, (being Rossi heads) post, I feel like taking a tablet, it's that painful.

"Vale never got in Jorge's head before"

Take it you dont rememeber Donnington and Brno in 2009 when he binned his bike with Vale right on his tail. 2 races running that was. Cost him any chance of the championship. Just like Casey in 2008!
