It has to be said Talentfan,Motogp is boring at times.I have lost count of the number of times that i have enjoyed the Moto2 and Moto3 races more than the "main event".
And it shouldnt be that way.

@Talentfan

I'm not in for any country, but it's not Italians or Spanish fault that all the talent packed in their riders. It's about talent, either you got it or you don't, but you can't question why an Italian (VR) is riding one of the 4 bikes, yes he has 9 titles in his name, if there are riders that can match his record then you are right. or Lorenzo, Dani and Marquez, are there better riders than them?

Mate you are just deluding yourself, be realistic.

@ Talent Fan and 99

One can't question MotoGP's WC status without also questioning Moto 2/3's status. After all, they race on almost all of the same tracks minus a few. I think the crux of the issue revolves around how many riders are actually capable of winning (...I'll still stick to my 4-6 range of potential wins/podiums). The same applies to Moto 2/3 and WSBK. The top 4-6 guys are always there, and then there's the best of the rest. I think that Moto 2/3 comes across as more exciting because there are more bikes on the grid and the top guys are closer, so they mix it up a bit more than the premier class.

Realist.
Agreed, the same riders seem to be at the front during most races whether its Moto2/3 or Motogp.
The answer is,equipment.
The tools that the top guys have to use are superior to those the rest of the guys have.Talent is obviously a major factor, but no matter how talented you are,you wont win without the right equipment.I think the reason 2/3 have closer races is because the disparity between the top guys and the rest is smaller than it is in Motogp.

@ Lad

I'm not saying that there should be any mox of riders at the top - regardless of nationality the best SHOULD be at the top.

My issue is that there are only FOUR truly competitive machines on the MotoGP grid. So only the riders on those bikes are really IN the championship (and 4 isn't enough for a 'real' WC by a long way).

If the disparity between bikes on the grid was addressed so it was closer racing and these 4 had to win purely on talent then I feel sure that the status quo and race finishing order would be shaken up a lot more often.

You might recall it - they used to call it RACING.

I am agree with 99CB. even moto2/3 are pretty predictable. I can remember a fantastic rider ( Fenati) came out of nowhere and challenged guys on superior machinery and actually beat them. He has the talent, but not the right equipment.

why should we care about the nationality of the riders? or where the circuits are?
we want the best riders in motogp if there is nobody as good as the spanish then so be it who cares really....
europe has amazing and historical circuits like mugello or assen that are made for motorcycle racing. yes a championship full of new tilke f1 circuits would be great.
and the people care about racing. but no its better to have tracks like qatar thats always full of people right

re: "MotoGP races are dull"

no, the mental acuity of the modern day fan is what's "dull". i actually find all motogp races entertaining. but see i'm a "true motorcyclist", the last of a my kind.

perhaps more importantly, i'm realistic. i don't start a season with the expectation that EVERY race is going to be "totally extreme" like a UFC death match...? or shaun white shreddin'' a half pipe...? some races will be weak,.others will be strong.

the only certainty is come november it all goes away and the snows'll begin to fall. it's usually around this time that nature smacks me upside the head and says, hey jacka$$, i'll give you something to complain about.
