“Unfortunately we weren't able to do a race simulation in the tests, so tyre wear is a question mark for me” – Andrea Dovizioso.

Rossi mentioned that the Italian engineer/tech mentality was to get annoyed or mad that you're requesting changes while the Japanese counterparts at Yamaha or Honda would take the comments to go back to the drawing board to improve the bike. Money and R&D are also contributors because while Honda can develop multiple solutions Ducati seems to guess on one alternative and pray it's the right choice, and unfortuantely many aren't.

Sukhoi46,you are not doing Rossi fans any good making silly comments like that mate.
What are you going to say if Dovi has some success this year?
He is only successful because he is on the Rossi developed Ducati?
Please,dont go there!

Hayden went backwards because Ducati were putting too much in to Rossi, and there is no way they would let Hayden outshine their financial blunder.

Hayden deserves a lot from Ducati, even with his current contract renewal, hes don't an admirable job, even showing up Casey when he first came over.

Sorry Prof but Hayden is a turkey and always has been! He plays the team game and "chapeau" to him for that , but he's no great racer and would not get a ride on any other works bike or sat bike for that matter. In short he is just not fast enough and never has been even when he won his championship he only managed two wins in the season on the bike that Rossi managed 9 wins and NEVER off the podium in 2003, now there is a rider finished every race and never lower than third!

With fans like you its no wonder Rossi can walk around like 2011 and 2012 never happened..And to respond to a earlier post that people are mad because Rossi is competitive again your wrong...People are laughing because it shows its 80% BIKE/20% RIDER...HEHEHE

Come on guys, it's all Rossi's fault? Yeah he got a frame in the second year but can anyone foget the testing where the ECU fried and they only had one so they all packed up and went home. Who flies to another track and only packs one new ECU. And who can forget they promise of a new engine package at start of season which never arrived at all. Also no one every confirmed for me that the engine has been redesigned as a non stressed member unit. To be a stressed member the engine has to be far more rigid, more rigid generally equals heavier. But I think there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to show that changes were few and that was due to management intransigence and money. I agree with Jambop in that Rossi stopped trying when he saw no changes were coming and to make the bike competitive meant pushing way outside the envelope (probably compounded by Simo and his leg).

Nicky was beating Casey on his own bike in 2009, cant say Hayden is that slow, he just needs a bike he can trust (tires that will last and act accordingly) the speeds there, Ducati need to bring the 'trust.'

@ Realist and all the other Rossi fanboys..

So it's ok for Rossi fans to discredit anyone and everyone, just, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, say ANYTHING about his royal highness who did NOTHING at Ducati? Please...

I will be cackling my brains out if Dovi starts making constant progress on that bike.
