Still downplaying??
I guess he wants to trouble the pace setters straight away on his yamaha return and third step on podium is the worst result he expects,,

even though i am a Rossi hater but not blindly biased, i will admit he will make a podium in Qatar. further more, he will make alot of podiums this season.

its the truth and i can admit that.

Why only podium and not a win? His ambition must have diminished after two years of drubbing by the real aliens. It still outweighed the talent level though.

Rossi is gonna be a real handful this year. He's Danis biggest threat though no doubt once he sorts the yam Jorge will get all his data.. What's that Jorge the only time you had the same kit is when Rossi got injured in 2010?? pull the other one.. One things for sure whilst Ross was fit and on the same kit as Jorge he was crashing like a rookie, which didn't stop till 2010. Rossi first ijury was after qatar which he won despite over gearing the bike to try and stay in stoners slipstream. Stoner falls off and hey presto Rossi yam has no acceleration..

I wouldn't put money on it, either way. He has the tools for the job and the rest is up to him. We don't know if he still has what it takes to win, but he still has the drive and enjoyment factor, which might get him the podium that he wants (needs?)

There are a lot of riders capable of a podium and they all know from Jorge's Title how important it is to get good results early in the season.

Some odd views come out on here when you mention Rossi. I'm not looking forward to the cloud of smugness that will descend when Rossi gets a good result. I hope VR can do well but MM is very exciting and I think he will re-ignite MotoGP for the next few years.
