After two years and the Duc I can't be sure if he is foxing or simply telling it as he sees it. Also first race and I firmly believe one thing that Jorge learnt from Vale is fast but steady wins the WC the whole to finish first, first you have to...

So I think Rossi will try it on but will settle for anything he can get without going mental but I think after the first race he will be super pumped and by Jerez will be back in the game I think he just needs to blow some cobwebs out...

I would expect 3rd to be the minimum acceptale result At the minimum Vale is back at Yamaha to secure the constructors title and though Jorge may not always bat dani he will need to beat MM. it should ot be too difficult for Rossi to to force the Rookie into some mistakes, Mark only needs to outbrake himself once...

The real question I have is will Vale ride ouside his comfort level and risk crashing to challenge Dani or Jorge whle he's close enough? You simply cannot ride around these guys and there is clearly no equipment advantage to help him.

A podium would be an amazing result!! .......DB8

Dont take this the wrong way DB but why would it be an amazing result?
Rossi is back on the championship winning bike.I fully expect to see him on the podium.
In fact he may well find himself on the top step!

@99 crystal ball

because the top 2 guys has proven more faster than him at this point. so top 3 is a good result.

plus he didn't know what marquez can do in a race.

Aside from the mountain he faced when he arrived at Ducati, this will be Vale's greatest challenge thus far. I'd be ecstatic if he podiums, even more so if he garners the #2 spot! A win would see me with a feeling I'd expect to be similar to when he won that race in Welkom '04. I've been a die hard fan for years, but have grown to respect ALL riders simply because of the ridiculous hatred spewed about this site from armchair experts. No TRUE FAN of this sport tosses around such utter disdain for these brave souls. Men who RISK THEIR LIVES so we can place ourselves in their skin for those brief moments of glory, wondering how great it must be to be live your fantasy. Sadness is all I feel right now.......sorry.........
