well Jorge knows it better, but IMHO Ben is finished. If he couldn't do it on one of the best bikes out there, he will not make it on Duc. Perhaps if he were to take year off and develop Suzuki, maybe.. but as is his GP carrier is pretty much over.

Spies is super fast, when he wants to be. But like him,
I wouldn't put much effort in either when my day job was riding a 240hp GP bike that could snap it's chassis parts in half or lock the engine at any given moment. That's like flying a light plane with a bunch of hand grenades rolling around on the floor of the cabin!

Lorenzo destroyed him. .. end of story. Spies expected to be more competitive on the 1000cc bke and it made not a whit of difference. The guys a busted flush. Sad.

All he Assen win took was, Rossi on the Ducati, Pedrosa out injured, Lorenzo and Simoncelli to collide and Stoner to settle for the 20 points to get back in contention for the world championship. Stuff like that happens but not very often.

Absolutely no doubt about Ben Spies' ability. But motorcycle racing ability doesn't work without confidence. And unfortunately in my opinion, Bens confidence or lack of, will hold him back.....it can be a very fine line. Crutchlow is naturally a confident young man, in his case over confidence could be his down fall, but, with racing maturity and no big set backs, I see him being a constant top finisher with wins on the horizon.

What are you nuts, 9 agrees also!

Many races last year would have been mildy interesting or pedantic at worst without the Dovi/Crutchlow epics. Spies is a great rider when everything gels, but so is Cal. Stating Cal does not deserve a MotoGP seat is pathetic. What about Hayden or even Edwards, neither have set the world on fire in years, but they manage to keep a seat.

Crutchlow is riding great,His mouth is what gets him in trouble of track. If he ever wants a factory ride he needs to learn to be alittle more professional when speaking with the media.Even with all the bike problems Spies had he didnt bad mouth Yamaha that i can recal?

I like spies. I think his style might still be a little too "superbike"ish . He definatly has the abilty to throw down a fast lap but he couldn't seem to find a way to keep pace for a whole GP. As seen by the fact that the tech 3 bikes often outperformed him over race distance. He showed tremendous promise in 2010 . Once on the factory team he just wasn't consistent. I'm talking about the times he didnt have tire or mechanical issues. I wish him good luck on the duc. I doubt he will beat Hayden and dovi though

I thought Ben had disappeared off the face of the earth! Nothing really being said about him at all, but I do agree with Jorge, Ben is an exceptional talent who has had the stuffing well and truly taken out of him! Talk about bad luck, last year was like nothing you have ever seen with all the problems etc. Ben suffered! If you didn't know better you would have thought Jorge was up to something making sure Ben wasn't going to give him any grief!!! Seriously hope this year is better, but judging by the bike Ben is on, can't see it!!
