possibly, but he has just as much of a chance
of taking the title as JLo and Rossi does, MM might win a few races but wont take the title in his first season.

if he doesnt do it this season he will never get it, i think this is the last chance he will have for winning the WC going by his form from last season. but more riders coming through now who are going to be faster then him.

Rossi will win the WC this year.

Big chance..

Dani physical is good
Dani mental condition is good.
The bike is good

Jorge also

This year gone to be Dani - Jorge long fight.
If no crash, no bad luck Dani will get the crown.

no he wont be champion.
he has had his chances and thrown some of them away and has not been hungry enough, there is no steel in danis character, nice bloke, too nice for real champion material.
lorenzo is just arrogant and just thinks he should be champion, expect him to try realy hard to get yamaha to do the dirty on rossi again if rossi starts to beat him.
rossi, fingers crossed will get championship this year, realy rub lorenzos nose in the dirt, then tell yamaha to stuff their contract and go and help kawazaki or one of the crt teams to improve.
marquez maybe champion one day, but not this year.
the rossi army of fans is one of his biggest weapons, lorenzo still cannot get it through his head that no matter how many times he wins, he will never, ever have anything like rossi's army of fans, you can see it in his face

and in his eyes.
when rossi leaves moto gp in a few years time, it will be back where it was years ago, look at f1 without m schumacher, yes it has fans still, but as many as it did 7 years ago ? no, and the same thing will probably happen to moto gp, unless they can find someone/something to replace rossi, i know its just meant to be about rideing bikes, not about personaliies, but thats not enough for a very large number of folks, they want more than just bikes going quick,

sorry about multiple posts, but the mobile signal round here goes from crud to unusable.
fans want some fun in their racing, simoncelli was possibly going to be the next fun in moto gp, but we lost him in stupid circumstances.
heres hoping that some of the youngsters in moto gp relax a bit and learn that its meant to be fun for them as well, not just a job.
no fun = no fans.

Agree 2013 is probably DP's last chance. However, I really rate him - when healthy he is super-fast, consistent and has a superb strike-rate of wins/podiums every season.
Lorenzo's similar talents are the biggest hurdle IMO (barring incidents/accidents). If Dp's bike is as good or better than the Yam throughout the season, I think Dani can be WC against his 3 challengers.

Rossi? Yes he attracts massive No's of fans. But for me its a case (sorry) of quantity over quality there. far too many have the football fan mentality rather than a proper racing enthusiast mentality. Rossi will surely be missed when his time in MotoGP comes, but a lot of his fans will certainly NOT be missed if they fade away IMO.

If I was a betting man, then at this point I'd call the WC as (1,2,3,4) DP, JL, VR, MM by the way.

if dani wins this WC, it will be a much bigger achievement for him than he would have won in the previous years as there are many serious competitors in every race, not only 3 but 4 or 5 big rivals!!

I strongly feel that the best chance that Dani had to be Moto GP WC was last year. Valentino in a Ducati was struggling, Casey was not in the contest very early in the season, and he's got more wins than Lorenzo. However, he still did not make it. I really like Dani but i guess it would be very tough for him now to be WC, specially with #46 back in Yamaha.
