@tedleaf.
I take it you want to be the number one Rossi fan.

@Talent fan.
Quite right I agree.

I've said quite a few times Dani would never be WC now I'm not so sure perhaps now that Casey's gone.

@Talentfan

Rossi and Marquez both have an 'agressive' style. The difference is Rossi only makes his 'agressive' moves when he is in the middle of a one to one battle with another rider, normally in decisive races against one of his big rivals (Gibernau, Stoner, Lorenzo..). Marquez on the other hand makes 'agressive' moves that make no sense and border stupidity, like pushing a much slower rider during free practice, you'd never see Rossi do something like that. In any case I am not worried about Marquez and I'm pretty sure Rossi isn't either. He's no pussy cat, he can take Marquez on any time.

of course Dani has a chance, but will he pull it off? we have seen two major improvements in the last couple of years, he has become way more aggressive willing
to fight more, and he has hugely improved his conference, and ability for racing in the rain, but his curse of staying healthy is not easy for a 5'2' 110 lb guy... he's fragile, and he just lost a huge advantage with the new weight limit, now he has to carry extra weight, n those Honda engineers gota figure out his to distribute it effectivly without messing up the balance or him...

gona be a lot harder this year, but I don't think its his last, Honda's got a lot invested in him, and his manager pulls a lot of weight. plus maverick v wont be ready for couple more years lol.. but for sure, time is running out...

if Danny doesn't take the title this year it may well be bye bye works Honda, but there again he seemed to have got the measure of Lorenzo towards the end of last season

Danny is a great rider, he has just been unfortunate that he was born into the same era as the likes of Rossi, Stoner, and Lorenzo. His talent is comparable to that of the other aliens, it just at times lacked at extra little bit of consistency and aggression in the past to win the title, plus in terms of injuries he has been a lot more unlucky than the other aliens.

There is a reason why Honda have kept him on all this time, and it's not because he is Spanish, otherwise Honda wouldn't have fired Criville after he underperformed for 2 seasons after being champion win in 99...........

.........Honda know that in the 21st century there have so far only been 3 riders who could have won more many races or more than Pedrosa on the Honda. Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo and that's it. Pedrosa is in the unfortunate position of being the greatest rider not to have won a world championship

Dani may be Spanish but I still reckon he's kept his seat on Merit. Sure, no WC yet, & he's had some lousy luck. But - his stats (esp. when you consider his injury record are excellent. All racers need a bit of luck to go with the kit and the talent, & Dani has always had only 2 outta 3 a lot of the time. He could easily have won 1 before now.

Compare DP with say Toni Elias. TE got season after season, when his results and consistency didn't justify it - it became a standing joke that at contract time TE would suddenly pull a couple of decent rides and get another year - and he did.

DP has earned his MotoGP ride every year. If DP stays healthy, & has a bit of good luck he's ALWAYS a strong contender, and its why he's got another shot at it.
