@ cympunk
Well if we go on that basis then spies should not be in GP's at all as the year he has was worse than JT's year (on a sat Yam compared to a Factory Yam) and yet he is still occupying a seat. This is the kids first SESSION in MotoGP let alone season and he has not even raced yet, this hate has been there from loads of people since Day 1. Give the kid a chance irrespective of how/why/when he got there he is there so let him prove himself, if by mid-season he is still 11th then I am sure Bradley would be the first to say I need to do better, but for now he has had 45 minutes on a Qatar race track I think we need to see how the weekend pans out. I remember people saying the same thing about Cal when he joined, (no good, will do nothing) and now he has they still want blood with the Dovi comparisons etc. the Brit hate runs deep. Give the kid a chance...jeez

FFS, Come on give the lad a chance! Yes his years in Moto2 weren't great but given the bike he was on what do you expect?
He proved when in 125 that he has talent & I would say Tech3 are rewarding his loyalty for riding their Moto 2 dog for a couple of years
But there again it looks like the usual mentality of My favourite rider is better than yours is as prevalent as ever
Why not just stop whinging unless you could do better times
Brad has talent and all being well is in the right team with the right bike to get chance to show all the nah Sayers wrong

As Smith says himself, he should be observing videos stead of racing the M1. Next season his seat will be taken by Pol. And that of course is the only right thind to do for Yamaha. Or Pols brother or RdP or Josh Herrin or Vinales or Salom or etc...

So you think he has spent the same amount of time on a motoGP bike as Marquez? So what about the two additional tests that Marquez has done, or all the stuff that has no doubt gone on behind the scenes at Honda?

I've said it before, and happy to say it again. You can't judge the lad until mid-season.

I want this guy to do well and he knows what its like to race at the front. So I am hoping he will soon get accustomed with the bigger bike and start moving up the field. Would be nice to see him sparring with Cal & Bradl etc.

Marquez isn't atop the timesheets in FP2 because he had 2 extra tests over Smith. Most people still have no idea why Smith was giving a prototype ride. He never did anything special in Moto2.

Is it possible he could find something and become a strong rider? Sure. Is it likely he'll EVER contend for a title? No. If nothing else, he should be on a CRT, and leave the proto seat for someone with more promise.
