The thing with Austin, though, is that Rossi and Lorenzo went there with only one bike each, no spare parts and just a skeleton crew of mechanics. They couldn't afford to push because a single downfall would put an end to their test there.

The Hondas may still be favorite at Austin, but I expect the Yamahas to be much closer.

Marc will take pole tomorow, and on race day Dani will get a rocket start from 3rd or 4th and lead into the first corner. Within 3 or 4 laps, Jorge will be past both Hondas and will fly off into the distance, and during mid-race Rossi would move up to 2nd. Marc, Dani and possibly Cal will fight it out for 3rd.

Why are people still whining about the speed of the CRT ??? There are jut as far off the pace around Qatar now as their 2011 prototype back marker counterparts. 2011 after FP3 Toni Elias in 17th was the slowest rider 3 seconds of the pace. Today 17th was Edwards 2.7 off the pace. So what has changed ??? Nothing !!! People have short memories.

I give it to Marquez he is fast ,the only worry is did you see how many times he went off track when it comes down to consistency Lorenzo and Rossi have got the measure there times were constant and it was all or nothing from the young man ,great talent all the same

Great show so far from all the top riders...

So much happening. Rossi back on top form and being very fast. Jorge maturing every season and remaining calm and very fast (he has learned how a championship is won over a season, not one race), Pedrosa might seem to be struggling right now, but he'll be back there soon. Marc Marquez is amazing, but he has a lot to learn. He has more Force than Skywalker but hasn't learned how to control it yet and pace himself. He will, in time...

Crutchlow? Brilliant fast rider and a Brit, but PLEASE Cal don't moan if, as the season goes on and the Factory team get more updates than you, the gap widens. Where else will you go? We know you're fast, but don't be forced to go fishing! You hang in there!
