'It was nice to have a good feeling with the bike when I tried to push hard with a new tyre in the last laps' - Andrea Dovizioso

Good couple of laps by Dovi... he has absolutely no chance in the race though his pace on used tyres is too slow. The podium is going to be two Yams and a Honda! JL,VR,DP

Lol yeah only one fast lap Rossi fans. Something your boy couldn't manage in two seasons.

Any rider could put that yam on the front row - except one it seems....

Go Cal!

Even the most daft should still understand that the bike hasn't made any ground, and Dovi is riding it more or less the same as Rossi did. The daft should also understand that this is less about Dovi performing well (and he's doing okay with what he has), and more about the better bikes not placing in the top 5 where they normally would be. Put Rossi and Bradl where they should be (and will likely be come race day), and the Ducati is right back where most people with brain cells functioning properly already expect it to be...6th or lower.

Everybody here seems to expect Dovi to do well in the race! Qualifying is nothing he will be down the back of the grid on that bike! And Rossi haters hate away because you know too that Rossi will beat him!

Dovi has done well and he has pushed hard on that bike, but he should as he is new and he has enthusiasm and a good salary as he feels like he is worth it. But go back to 2011 when Rossi first lined up, he pushed and did a mid 1,55 I think and in 2012 he had given up all hope. Dovi will try hard and push but I am sure he will have the same issues over 20+ laps that he can ignore for one. I am not a Rossi fan at all, but it is clear Rossi lost faith and would not push, older, wiser, scared whatever you want to say. But even the great stoner got less and less successful on the duke as the years went on. It got worse and he lost faith understandably, unless Ducati fix the fundamental issues hat have been present for 5 years now ( inc this year) dovi I am afraid will also drop off, lose faith, push less!! Good luck today dovi!! My prediction is 6th!

I've just had to wade knee deep in carp to get to some decent comments. Dovi had a brilliant Qually and people are more concerned with slagging off Rossi than praising him.

On another note...for 4 years Stoner and Rossi complained about the Ducati's power delivery, is it down to Audi that finally they have done something about it?

Hi
Great job Dovi
I am so glad that what I have read so far is praising Dovi and not "what Rossi have developed"because Rossi did f all for the Ducati
Super job Dovi hopefully you can keep the tyres good for the whole race, this qualifying alone is worth more money than they payed Rossi for 2 years, hopefully he have to pay it back
Cheers Claes

Hi
#Realist
You are in total denile, and you are so full of it face It Rossi is not what we all thought he was, he is fast and pretty good at feding info back to JB, JB is doing the best he can (pretty capable) but Rossi is a fast rider if hhe have a perfect bike, and do not come and say that the Yamaha 2004 was crap because it was not, the Yamaha engineers have upgraded it so it was a really good package to perfect, and he did win on a perfect bike that JB and the engineers gave him
So get off your Hi Rossi horse and join the realists in this world not Pixie Hollow
Cheers Claes
