not sure how this whole factory kit/no factory kit thing's gonna play out...? not sure if yam's motivated or demotivated to help at this point since he appears to be getting results. if anything, what's most likely to happen are parts'll suddenly start falling off the man's bike. gee, where did that extra caliper bolt come from...?

Unfortunately Djanjo, MotoGP is a business, and VR brings in lots of money and a cult following of drones who keep buying his endless array of T-shirts, hats, motorcycles emblazoned with corporate logos etc. The powers that be realise this and also realise that once he leaves MotoGP, he'll take away a lot of the fair-weather fans with him. He may be getting older, but he still has a wealth of talent. It's early days, I wouldn't right the old dog off quite yet. He will face a tough battle to get to the top, and it remains to be seen if he ever can.

Criminal that they waste the other factory Yamaha on a has been. I hope T3 enjoy some development from Yamaha through the season.

Come on Cal, show them what they're missing!

Fast in testing, fast in FP and now the front row :) All good signs for the race, and you never know what other factors will crop up in a race!
And a shout out to Bradley Smith, who is in with the other prototypes and getting faster and faster, reminds me of another Brit in motogp who is fast as anyone now :)

Regards the age of his bike the Eurosport commentators stated that Cal is riding the chassis that Lorenzo started last season on, I am sure Lorenzo's bike will have been updated since then and he is due a new one around the forth round.

Nice job by Cal, hope he fights for wins and podiums every round!

Right now his bike and the newer factory bikes are very close to the same thing. Remember it's the beginning of the season and the factory boys haven't had many upgrades or much time to figure if the new parts are any better or not.

well I've said that if crutch wants to catch the factories' eyes he needs either a win or a pole.. this is a great start for him. I thought he peaked last year but if he continues this form throughout the season, he's got a fighting chance at proving me wrong.. I better start to get an appetite for my own words hah.
