Great start to the season. Rossi and Marquez lit up the race with their late battle but Lorenzo is still the man to beat, staggering pace. Lets hope Pedrosa, Rossi and Marquez can get involved with him straight way.

Same Ole Pedrosa, hesitant to go balls to the wall when it matters. Beaten by a Rook soundly in his first race and left in the dust by Valentino who had to ride through a low qualifying spot and a huge mistake that pushed him behind the mid-pack crew for most of the race.

I did not sit down for the last 6 laps. I was shaking a bit! Exciting stuff! Rossi shut up the haters and Marquez, one whom I doubted when he first got the Repsol seat (during all of the rookie rule madness), has proven that he can handle business. Thanks to those two, I truly enjoyed the debut to the 2013 season. Damn, watching Rossi carve his way through adversity is just a joy. He's a phenomenal "racer"!

Brilliant ride by Rossi, made even more impressive by the consistent high 1.55's while catching the two Hondas & Crutchlow. I think he will get better as the pressure in his own abilities will have lessened on his shoulders.

Where are all the people that were calling Rossi a fraud, average rider & that he should retire last night? I'm sure that performance must have made you think!

Did not take honda long to replace what his name you know the one that moaned even when he won the race, the rider that punched Randy for getting in the way, the one who was beat by his team mate last year and fell off trying to pass him.

Stacy Maoner I think they called him

You know what's funny? The haters were probably relishing in Rossi's mistakes and race positioning when he dropped to 7th. It did look like an uphill climb, but I knew that once he could see Crutchlow, he would be on the hunt. The way that he closed the distance was extremely impressive. That 2nd place podium finish was like blood to a rabid dog. The hunt is on!
