"First loser and will never be able to ride a difficult bike like Stoner"

Wrong ron, if ever there was a winner in this race, it was rossi.

Also, rossi won 3 WC on the honda, stoner only 1 so not sure what you are on about...

Stoner won on a Ducati that was so fast down the straight back then that it was irrelevant.Remember his last year on the Ducati?Lots of crashes and bad results.Rossi didnt push the Ducati cause he didnt want to maybe injure himself or even worse.Casey couldnt win so he left but if they hadnt changed the rules against him, ballast and changing tyres not even halfway through the season,he probably could have won till Rossi came back home to HIS bike at Yamaha.

Wow The King is back what are you smoking im not a lover or hater but the fact is a king is on top not second as in racing terms 2nd is the first loser . Im not knocking rossi just people who go silly when he did what was expected of him and did it well. When he beats lorenzo then start saying the king is back and im thinking that MM and Dani are going to go better at the next track

HG - Unregistered i agree with most of your picks except i would have pol spago on the other yahama not cal as pol had many good battles with mm last year.

Great race!!! We have been vating for this type of races for to long now. Lorenzo was ontouchable tonight, fantastic comeback by Rossi it brings back memories from the good battles from the past. We need this!
Marqez fantastic rider probably motogps next star. Good battle against Rossi!
He beats Pedrosa in his first race.
I hope Ducati makes progres so we can get Dovi in the game to.
I m looking forward to this season!!

Rossi has shown that he still has what it takes to be a front running racer, I'm quite optimistic that there will be some race wins during the season for him, but I'm quite reallistic in my expectations that there will probably be no chamionship for him between now and when he decides to hang up his leathers, but that for me is no problem since he really has nothing to prove , I'm just happy to see him able to mix it with the young guns again

After watching the race again, I see Rossi was over 7.7 seconds behind Lorenzo at lap 13..

Pretty good catch up. Sure Lorenzo didn't need to push, but forget the 5-6 second gap that Lorenzo beat Rossi by, He was gaining.

I think Rossi definitely believes he can win another championship. Much as he believed last night he could get a podium from 7th. In terms of outright speed he may not be as fast or consistent as Jorge, and so he'll take (if he can) the podium points. But last nights race was a reasonably easy one, in terms of conditions and incidents. This year however there will be races in the rain, there will be races that are red and yellow flagged, there will be malfunctions and a whole host of other stuff that keeps it interesting, and I think that is where Rossi will be stronger, more so than Dani and Jorge and maybe, because of his experience, Marquez. This won't please the 'time triallists' who are seemingly obsessed with laptimes, and who should maybe stick to the Playstation and sell their bikes, but for those of us who like it wheel-to-wheel, this could be a truly great season. Good to see Rossi still making mistakes, cos that's the only way you learn and improve. Jorge needs to remember t

I have followed Rossi since he started in 125cc and have watched him have some fantastic battles, usually to win but in this day and age with so many aids what he did yesterday should not have been possible. The bikes almost seem to be on rails compared with the old, unaided, mental 500cc strokers. I cannot remember anyone, other than Rossi, pulling up so many places but I remember very well that if he was well back you just knew he was coming! Thank you Valentino, you just made an old fan very very happy!!
