I was shouting so much at the TV when he caught up with Crutchlow , lol, you could tell he was in for the kill and wasn't going to let anyone get away. Marquez was the only one who put up a bit of a battle, very impressive. A great race, best in a long time!

Amazing! Cannot add anything to what has already been said - really impressive. I think he knew he had to mix it with JL from the start (like Laguna 08) to have a chance of victory, hence the early desperation... once he got settled he looked fantastic, and you just always have a feeling he will come out on top of close battles! Forza Vale!

Lorenzo- been on this yam for 5 years now, pole position and lead from the start, has chance to concentrate on consistent fast laps with no distractions. Wins

Rossi- had 2 years that would retire any former champ at his age, returns to a good but slightly different yam and needs to be learned again, makes lightning progress before small mistake, comes back to finish second after being tied up for many laps, finished 5.9 behind jlo.

Yes jlo was able to go a bit quicker but all taken into account, this means Rossi is gonna put up a hell of a fight to WIN the championship.

Exciting it will be

Rossi did a far better job than I expected and I am so pleased for the sport. He can reinvigorate it, he is everyone's hero and you saw why with some real close racing, daring moves and all in his own style.
There are hardly any fans in Qatar but at the end of the race all you could hear were screams of "Rossi, Rossi". Just wait until we get to Europe , it will be deafening.
If Rossi can keep that up week in, week out, he can be a championship contender again. he was nowhere near contention with 10 laps remaining, but the ground he made up was incredible. He got stuck in and was reeling off laps half a second faster than anybody else. Many people, particularly at 34 years of age and with 9 WC's in the trophy cabinet, would have thought, 'I messed up, let's wait until next weekend, but he produced a stunning performance. It was a Rossi masterclass full of the trademarks of the early stages of his career, starting slowly and working his way through, finding ways of passing where nobod
