So Rossi is back where he belongs - second to Jorge. His cheeky and risky race antics are legendary, but the level of competition has gotten too high. He will not defeat JLo, as Rossi isn't perfection. He is overzealous on passing, he qualifies like crap, and I knew he wasn't gonna win today.

Rossi knockers (Florence excepted) - just try to watch without your prejudices - he was held up in qually, ran wide to avoid an early braking Pedrosa, then made an awesome comeback. From the front row, there's every reason to think he could have won.

re: "When the red lights went out, Rossi picked up where he had left off before his ill-fated switch to Ducati"

behold the reoccurnging theme. s1's law of NATCORK (no amount of talent can overcome recalcitrant kit)

re: "A seven time MotoGP title winner, Rossi used all his experience to get back ahead and then contain the young Spaniard by 0.2s"

behold, the 1000cc crossplane love affair i spoke of reignites.

Marquez for sure is the future and the man (and maybe some wins this year) to watch. but it always great to see the rossi do well. Marquez WILL be the motogp champion at some point. it is just a matter of time. just like rossi as a rookie. It's going to be a freaking awesome season. i hope cal can keep his nerve together too to mixed it up too.

i never had a doubt he was downplaying his chances and sandbagging so as not to put pressure on himself, and i guess to surprise Lorenzo. But Jorge is wise and said he didn't trust people with their pace. i knew who he was talking about.
