First, let me say great (if not predictable) win by Lorenzo, he rode a faultless race.

@ james Funnily enough, I recall DP and your beloved Stoner getting the holeshot and disapearing making for boring races over the last few years, let it go , he's gone and of no relevence to now or the future. Lorenzo has lots to worry about though and cant afford to get caught up in a three way battle with MM and VR.

I can imagine jorges thougths when he read his pit board:

+4 DP - keep pushing.
+5 DP - OK keep cool, no mistakes
+6 MM - Ok slow a little to save fuel, marcs taken points off dani
+6 Rossi - Aww F*&K where did he come from.

People on here talk with a lot of authority, but with no actual knowledge whatsoever

@Happy Helmet, I presume this is the same 27 that was getting beaten by pedrosa last season (Yes before the injury), yep certainly missing him.

@HG, it's like a crap comedian, the jokes by be funny but the delivery isn't, should stick to being a nice lad. Ianonne is one of Rossi's good friends and has Rossi's backing hence the colour scheme.

Why can't be people just see it for what it was instead of having stupid ill informed opinions, Masterclass by Jorge, great determined Ride by Rossi and Marquez, Cal unlucky, Pedrosa unfortunately could be the forgotten man if he doesn't win very soon.

@ Das

in lower categories Casey Stoner won absolutely nothing. in Premier class Rossi won his first title on a satellite honda. then he came from the best to the worst and won from the first race to win back to back titles. Casey Stoner won only two titles and couldn't defend his titles.

and to finish, give Rossi mach slower bike and Stoner the fastest(Laguna 2008) and he'll destroy Casey stoner mentally just like he did today to Bradl and Cal and nearly to Marquez. You don't win 9 titles for nothing.

@casperelli
i presume this is the same jorge that was getting beaten by pedrosa at the end last season as well?
that doesnt instantly make him better, does it? (as clearly shown here and lots of other races).
tbh you cant compare to stoner/lorenzo/probably rossi, although i didnt watch him in his prime so cant really comment

@ Das

Give Rossi a glass of milk and he'll chug it down and then go racing.

Give Stoner a glass of milk and you won't see him for a few months due to a hurty tummy.

If Lorenzo took off it only means the rest can't keep up. He shouldn't slow down so the rest can bring him a fight. THE REST should step up and bring the fight to the man. People who use the excuse of him checking out should realize that that's what dominating riders and drivers do. They step up the pace once they find a clear track and kill your morale.

@me

Not quite the same as Pedrosa and Jorge on different bikes I was referring to comments saying Stoner is missing and would have taken it to Jorge, not the case on the evidence of last season.

Jorge is the best on the grid IMO at the moment, even Rossi said last night, it's like he's not human. Though I do believe Rossi will be a lot closer to the title than people think, and to quote Jorge directly "I don't trust some peoples pace"

@ Hammer pace

"If Lorenzo took off it only means the rest can't keep up". Pedrosa couldn't keep up. Rossi came back from 7th to overtake Pedrosa, he was much faster . You can be sure if Rossi had started from the first row Lorenzo wouldn't have ran away so easily.

@trc

Maybe. But let's keep the ifs and buts off the table and lets recognize the fact that any mistake by any rider is their own fault. (Like when Rossi lost all those positions). Rossi will have better starts and will be closer no doubt but so will be Marquez, Pedrosa, Crutchlow and Bradl. With a clear track I see Lorenzo taking pole at almost every round. The man is at his best but keeps getting faster. Also I don't see him getting into an unnecessary dog fight with a faster Rossi on a given day. He'll be going for the championship instead. And he admits Pedrosa is still a serious threat.

He has grown up. He's not out with a win every single race mentality but will pounce when the cards are on his favor.
