You can be the 50 times world champion but you can guarantee at least 25 of those titles would be luck of rivals unreliable machinery, injuries and just some pure luck at times.

Titles really don't mean that much when you look how each one was won if the title didn't go down to the wire.

and to finish, give Rossi mach slower bike and Stoner the fastest(Laguna 2008) and he'll destroy Casey stoner mentally just like he did today to Bradl and Cal and nearly to Marquez. You don't win 9 titles for nothing.

Now, I have to ask, you made this up as I was there in 08 and Rossi left the track as he had during practice in case he needed it. As for mentally destroying Call, Bradley and trying to get Marquez, in your dreams little man, in your dreams.

He just beat a rookie and couldn't beat his team mate, it's 2010 again

Agree Denster if Rossi didn't make a mistake he probably would have been much closer to Jlo, but Lorenzo was going at blistering pace so passing him may still not have been possible. In terms of others beating up on Pedrosa, this is just the first race and it's not like he was in 10th or lower. I'm sure when he gets to more comfortable tracks he'll be pushing for a win or maybe pull out similar disappearing act to JLo.

So the Doctor is arriving on his limits with his M1,, expecting more fierce battles and intense last lap heart pounder this season,,

Rossi wasted no time on his yamaha return to show that he hasn't lost anything into ducati and just demonstrated that his skills in hunting down the rivals, race craft and holding the nerves to make up for mistake the mistakes are second to none,,

JL proved that he is super consistent, but still not sure about his steel nerves in pressure cooker time when race gets down to the wire for lap last dedcider,,

MM is a real deal..

Let them rumble at the front and let us sit back and enjoy...

May be Pedrosa is also going to enjoy WATCHING THE SHOW IN FRONT OF HIM,, not sure if he is carrying his form from last season,, stoner went and MM came real head ache for DANI,, start music...

We will all see as, the season unfolds, this year will be very different, I am sure if Rossi had not made that save going into turn one, he would have put JL to the test. We don't know if Jl slowed down the pace because he knew he was going to win or was his tires going off, Rossi's times were faster at the end than JL.... So get ready for an ultimate race to come where MM, Dani, and JLO are going to be tested for real..........:)

I can't believe some of the comments here. First Rossi is a fraud, then he's back to being the GOAT. Jorge and Yamaha are playing second fiddle to the Honda's and Pedrosa (second half o last years), now the Yamaha's are vastly superior to the Hondas. Nobody can catch Jorge, although he left from the pole and didn't have to dice with anybody so he could concentrate on clean, fast lines. But all those nuances are lost to many in this crowd at Crash who view life in absolutes. Try a rheostat approach not a toggle switch. Everything isn't off or one, the greatest of a loser, going to dominiate all season or will fail. Why not have respect for the skill of all the riders and the machinery that seems to defy physics?

It's no wonder the world gets the corrupt and dysfunctional political leaders it gets. People are freakn' weird.
