what a shame, Dani never had the setup the whole week, smoked his teammate in qualifying and then got outpaced by a guy (his teammate) that was making all kinds of mistakes behind him. Dani never had a chance, hopefully this does not go any farther than the first round. It's clear his setup was fk'd and with out setup nobody can win a race. If HRC/Repsol continue to favor Marc they will be lucky to take 3rd in the riders championship this year, oh well.

BTW where was Nakamoto and Livio after qualifying, looking after Dani who managed a heroic third or their wellfair check who almost ran in to Dani and only managed 6th? Money talks, hope Repsol doing fk over Dani too hard this year, he was clearly on ice for about 90% of the race.

LOL it amazes me how people can come up with all sorts of stupid conspiracy theories to explain away why certain riders get beat. So Pedrosa won seven races last year but all of the sudden Repsol decided that they want to screw him over ? Try harder! Honda is in charge sine its their bike, and not Repsol. If Honda didn't want him, they would fire him just like they fired Hayden and Criville, it's that simple. Seems to me like you havent watched much Motogp. Pedrosa has never been at his strongest when tires go off. It was one of his biggest weaknesses when he first showed up in Motogp and it still is now. Like Nakamoto said after last season, Pedrosa is sensitive to changes than other and his riding becomes overcautious because of it. What happend to him yesterday is exactly what we have observed from him since the beginning of his Motogp career apart from the second half of last year.

Except that he was slipping and sliding and not looking comfy with it from the get go. I almost wonder if he had a dodgy tire from the allocation, but impossible to really know

If this year dani only win a few races and failed to get the crown I think repsol should find another one.

when rossi back to yamaha that was not a bad news for lorenzo, thats a very bad news for pedrosa.

Dani can win in one on one fight with loenzo. But this rossi and marc will make dani loose to lorenzo.

I wouldn't write Dani off from this performance alone. He never looked comfortable with the terrible track conditions. They were the same for everyone but looking to the end of last season it appears to me that when Dani has the pace to run at the front his style is more aggressive than people like Lorenzo. Hard to be super aggressive with sand everywhere.
He will be come back and be a serious title contender, not sure who will win though, it could go to any of the factory bikes this season.

Pedrobot. What, 7+ years on a Factory Honda WORKS bike, ZERO titles. It's because of his "buddy" Puig, that he is still on the team. Hayden was better on the works Honda until they dropped down to 800CC. Now that midget will never win a title. Usually, Honda gives them the boot. Marquez will get a title on the Factory Honda before Pedrobot ever does.

Boot Pedrobot, give Hayden the ride with Marquez and you'll see some fun stuff.

@ Darkwaknight

Most reasonable statement thus far. I can only chuckle now when a bad race (if you can even consider 4th place bad) calls for retirement. There are some real yahoos here!

Hayden couldn't bet Pedrosa after his rookie year, and he wont be able to now. Simple fact is, Hayden and Dovi kept finishing further back the Pedrosa. So he kept his seat, if Stoner had stayed then he would have been buggered. At this point Pedrosa still brings in good results why would they want to replace him, with someone not as good
