Cal's bike was the slowest Yam, with 10 bikes faster (top speed)
Rossi's Yam was 7th fastest, some way ahead of Cal. I'm of the opinion that it's down to Cal's weight and size, or maybe how he get's off the previous corner, rather than not being on a Works bike.

RossiFan what an absolute clown you are!

Watch the race again, Cal followed those hondas for many many laps and was clearly loosing 2 - 3 bike lengths down the straights. When Rossi caught up he did not loose 2 -3 bike lengths and was able to use the slip stream to great effect.

Wonder if Rossi would like to switch bikes with Cal for the next round or even with Dovi. Probably not. I cannota ridea thata bika!!!!!

I think Cal and his team should work on Race setups,Blazing fast in qualifying and struggling in Races..Its a setup issue. His bike was slower then Dovis M1 last season, almost seems like they run low gearing in his bike. Quick doesnt mean Fast and Fast is what you need come Race day. He'll be back to fight another day!

Thought i'd see a lot of cal-praise on this thread but I'm pleasantly surprised - his bike at the moment is clearly as good as VR/JL's - do people really think he'd have wiped the floor with JL if he had his bike? No way. Unfortunately he's happy to be 'fighting' the factory bikes (read 'following') rather than getting in the mix and passing them - no excuses Cal, he was faster than Dani in practice and qualy, and Dani had no grip... he should not have been behind him at all!

I don't hate Cal... I respect his effort & achievement.. but his silly excuses about lack of power makes me boring... If power is everything, it would have been honda boys that stepped on the first & 2nd podium..

Rosifan, were you watching a different race to everyone else??? each time the home straight came round Cal was just left for dead, then he had to make back up on the brakes and corner speed, Rossi, of which I am a huge fan and Sooooo pleased to see him back on the Rostrum, had a bike the equal to the Honda's in terms of speed... you also talk about Spies, another great rider, but the bikes he had, were closer to the factory ones than Cal has at the moment... so please check your facts, he was the first non factory bike home and wiped the floor with the Works Ducati's..

Overall sat bike never match factory bike. Down to "electronic limitation". beside, I thought Cal still coouldn't win on the factory bike based on his experience & race style.
