Last season Pedro had a lot of fans, not because he won 6 of the last 8 races, more because his name could be used when slagging Rossi.
In the second half of last year he thrashed Jorge.......funny how after one race this year Lorenzo has already won this years Title. Or is it just to bash Rossi.

If any of you could not see Rossi's performance for what it was and enjoy it, what are you watching MotoGP for?

The new Qually system effectively ruined this race, I can see it seriously hurting someone in the future.

Its hard to tell if Lorenzo would have been faster if he was put under more pressure.

One things for sure though, he will be put under pressure in other races, and I cant wait to watch.

If he keeps qualifying well, he'll be fine though. Qualifying is so important this year when you consider how it affected Rossi and Marquez particularly, and in light of Cal's comments about getting stuck behind a Honda in a race

Hi
@kopbeen
Mabey because he only had about 5 goes on a MotoGP bike and Rossi have 12 years experience, if you go from a 600SS to a MotoGP bike it might be hard to know the limits after 5 times on it so that's probably why:) and don't you think that JUST lost by a second + to the Greatest of all time on his first race is great, well you need to watch another sport try Kricket:)
Cheers Claes

Most see to be missing the point, Rossi bike was on economy mode when he raced against mm he ran out just after the finish and the bikes are designed to lean out the performance to make sure they get across the line. MM whilst brilliant did what many do with Rossi, hang on for a lap or so but on the last lap Rossi was pulling away, Marquez has said he tried to gap Dani because he knew from his pit board Rossi was coming.
MM is an exceptional talent no question but Rossi's last two laps on a bike slower than Cals were pretty special also.. Ps check iplayer and the penultimate lap Rossi looks like his parked on the main straight MM catches him so quickly.. Jorge won comfortably but he won't be half as confident, that Rossi will not be right up with him next race, as some of the highchair experts on here..

"What if CS had been there on a Honda, Yamaha, or even a Ducati?!"

Good that VR has a bike he can ride at last. This should help rehabilitate his die hard fans who have suffered years of utter misery and mental dislocation. I guess Anti-depressant manufacturers are going out of business.

It seems almost as it there was only one bloke riding a Yamaha in the 1st race of 2013 and it wasnt he who won . FFS people a 9 time champ on the best bike shouldnt be fighting the field from 7th . He should have been pushing J Lo. Rossi is back but there are another 20 odd riders on the grid.
just sayin

@ claes.....Can't fault your logic, although I can't agree. Why use Rossi's name? Why not list the people that he beat to prove your point?

It seems to me that Marc Marq is already as exciting to watch as anyone previous with the extreme lean angles that he uses AND sliding the rear while he does.

Is it just me or does anybody notice that Rossi mentioned in practices and qualification, several times, that he could ride the bike fast even when the tyres were worn? Later, in the race, he proofed that it's true.

I guess it could be the deciding factor in the coming races.
