never mind the rest of the season,he is still at a big disadvantage going by the way pol jumped away from him by several bike lengths on every corner exit, its when he gets to moto gp he will realise his potential.he had a lucky escape from ducati already, hopefully he gets a satellite yamaha or honda ride when does get there.

Im hoping that Scott either replaces Alvaro at Gresini (Alvaro going back home, to Suzuki) or even better joining Bradl in a 2 man LCR team.

The extra power of a Honda would have to be a bonus for a heavier rider

Well Done Scott, great entertainment. You showed last year you were capable of mixing it with the front runners and are not afraid to have a go when you get the chance. I hope Cal Crutchlow takes some tips from your riding!

When Pol was up against Marquez, he was the one being eaten up on the straights. Now that he is up against Redding, he is one with the straight-line advantage. Oh well......

Well done Scott! It was an exciting race, I was really hoping that he'd win his first Moto2 race, hopefully he will achieve that soon. I thought that was not such a massive speed difference & Scott could stay with Pol quite well. I hope this bodes well for the rest of the season & he can mount a serious title challenge. I think Scott will do better than Cal & Bradley when he gets to Motogp!

Pol had a really difficult weekend. A crash in qualifying (and still got pole), won the race...He said he had problems setting the bike up all weekend - Scott was lucky to get so close to him... Add in Pol has never liked Qatar ... Just a lucky race for Scott..

I never thought Scott would win against Pol but he put up a decent fight. Don' forget guys, Control Engine = same HP= no advantage. As the Brilliant Eurosport commentators observed, "Pol entered the final bend very early" thus got a good run onto the straight.

Even with equal overall weight, bigger riders will never have the same straight line speed as the jockey sized ones with similar horsepower. The extra frontal area causes higher aerodynamical drag, which slows them down. At least, this year, the weight handicap is out of the picture.
